Chests Behind - Brick IIIIIIIIIIIIII Wall
No chests for weeks, reasons:
1.Dont have 100+ Friends ,to be able to pick several for a game at any given time
2.Finished S rank with almost all champions you can think of
3.Season is just toooooooooooo damn long
Take smite for example, there chests are based on wins, not skill level, and amount of chests and skins is much greater than in league of legends, you dont get skin shards, you just get full skins!!!
Revolutionary ,right?
Now not only did Riot make it a hell on earth to earn loot of any kind, but they also gated earning of the keys behind the honor system.
Jack is out of the box, you gave us loot, but, its content is gated.
It was better without it, now people get even more stressed out when they cant get solo S with champions they dont usually play, and becouse if they focus on getting S too much, and only participate in team fights when it suits them, their team might lose.

Seriously, you could allow players to earn chests for other things other than S, becouse most ,active players, get all they can, in under a month, and than they are like 
Or ,simply ,dont limit earning of chests only 1/season...................
