Why does nobody say anything about Katarina. it's actually insane.

Katarina is extremely broken in mid lane at the moment. You could stun Katarina during her ultimate (one of the only methods of counterplay) and she would still outdps you. Why isn't anybody saying anything about her? It doesn't matter that the runes made her broken, she's broken. You can't nerf the runes because it will affect literally any DPS champion, so the only option is to balance her.

She also has a pretty high pick rate with over 52%WR in Diamond+. Surely, you'd think if someone takes that much "hurdur high skill cap", you'd see a more conservative WR figure like Lee Sin's.

Her damage is wildly overtuned but she has absolutely zero CC, I can't call someone with no CC in today's meta broken, I applaud people who can play champs without CC well. MasterYi is another example of an overtuned damage champ with absolutely zero CC that should have respected players, since he has to truly work for his kills.

Whenever a high skill-cap assassin is boasting a 52-54% win rate and a nearly 10% pick rate in plat+ elo...idk how you can argue that's not broken. I'd say the same thing about nearly any other high skill-cap champion.

Just because she lacks an attribute that you believe is mandatory in a meta doesn't change the fact that hard statistics say otherwise, ya know?

Simple fix, tone back her damage. Her kit as it stands isn't stupid strong anywhere but her ludicrous passive, that's about it.

Exactly. Her kit is incredibly front-loaded in damage to the point where I see her rushing item 3211 or some other defensive item first, because she's so frontloaded she doesn't need to worry about damage at the early levels.

But again, if a high skill-cap champion of any kind is rocking those statistics then they're broken. You don't need cc to be broken, because by saying that then a 100% wr 100% pick rate champion with no cc still wouldn't be broken by those standards.

I agree with you completely that she just needs a flat damage numbers nerf across her kit, but just because we've identified how to fix her op'ness doesn't make her not op is all.

I normally make fun of people for these kinds of posts, but I've noticed just how snowball she's been lately. 2 out of the last 3 games I went against her, she carried her team to victory with like 20+ kills.

I've only noticed this trend after the rune update, so that's likely the source. Be unfair to other champs to nerf the runes unless they find other issues, so I'd be okay if they nerfed Kat.

The thing that annoys me is that at least in my elo (plat 5 EUNE) they build Gunblade into Deadman's plate and it's not even top lane _

Katarina , a champion incredibly vulnerable to CC and has no CC what so ever, isn't allowed to deal damage, yet MasterYi (basically the same thing) can? :/
