I made a mobifire build and was wondering if anyone had any comments or suggestions about it. I believe i am currently 13/6 with it in ranked but i know there is always room for improvement. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Most tank Akali's I see max Q last to get the lower W cooldown. And Iceborn Gauntlet seems odd to get for a manaless champion. Overall, not a bad build. I'd probably throw in Abyssal Scepter as well due to its cost efficiency.

As someone who discovered Tank Akali a few days ago and fell in love with it instantly, I approve of the completion of this guide
Note: Is there a reason Deadman's Plate isn't on the list? Mobility is a huge Reason Akali can work as a tank anyway right? It seems to me that Deadman's Plate and maybe even Black Cleaver could work quite well on tank Akali. Now, I myself hope tank Akali is just a phase, but at the same time, I've played Devourer Cho'gath, Tank Xin, and Veigar support. I suppose there's room for craziness in every character.
I called this nonsense out almost a week ago and people told me it wasn't a thing. I'm sure the build is fine but.... damn dude I really hope they nerf this thing into the ground. Akali is such a crap champ and I'm really sick of seeing her in so many games, tank or no. She needs a rework to be less of a point-and-click stat check.
On tank akali you go q-e-e-w, then you max e first (taking a point into q at lv 8) then you max w, leaving q at lv 2. Deadman's plate is an amazing item which you should put in instead of iceborn. you don't exactly need cd as akali. her e is already at a 1 sec cd at max rank, and thats where most of your damage will come from (that and sunfire/titanic)
The tank Akali build that makes more sense is Scarizard's one. You buy tank items until level 9, then go normal AP, so it covers the weak laning phase and then transition into normal AP Akali in a less risker manner.
The idea of tank Akali is to dominate lane with the tank build, then safely go onto building AP, since laning phase wasn't put at high risk.
It also got to do with maxing E first being really powerful against melee matchups in the top lane. Melees had the same issues when Q was procced by E, and so this was replaced with a more spammable E instead, which could cause the same problems.
