How viable is Rumble in the mid lane or jungle?
Thinking of picking him up when I get the IP.

He's a fun champion, but I've only ever played him Top. Mid seems like it'd be a rough matchup, as everyone else there either out ranges you, has more CC than you, or bursts you down too far. The longer lane top also helps you chase people, using your flame spitter a bit more.
Wouldn't play him mid. He either pushes the wave or gets pushed, and if he pushes the wave constantly it's easy ganks since he has no cc or escape. Flamespitter won't really do much for you either unless you're against like Diana or something.
Playing him in the jungle is actually pretty fun. His clears are pretty good, he can snowball like hell off of a couple of kills (especially early on), and he doesn't really need level 6 to gank
He gets destroyed by pretty much every midlaner under the sun, since he gets zoned out so easily by ranged burst and CC.
As a jungler he's got pretty fast clears, a good bit of safety thanks to the shield+movespeed and a post-6 gank that will instill fear for Rumble in the hearts of your enemies--but no hard CC and very weak pre-6 ganks. Not the perfect pick for every team-comp, but still pretty decent and (to take words out of stonewall's mouth) brings something entirely new to the jungling table.
takes too long to clear jungle, terrible mid lane due to range limitations. he CAN be played jungle but just know his limits and what you can expect from him
Will take this in mind, thanks.[slayer-jinx-wink]
Jungle Rumble shouldn't even be a question of viability when he has a skin for it. Its his best lane season 6.
mid: no jungle: good (was FOTM a while back, and never got nerfed. Rare pick now)
depends on wether you play with premades and on the matchups. The issue with rumble is that he's very vulnerable, he has no direct escape, is somewhat squishy, auto-pushes lanes and rather short ranged. If you play him mid vs a higher ranged champ, you will eat a lot harras with little options to retaliate, and if you push out you are an easy target for ganks. In the jungle, he has a similar issue, if he get cought by the oppsing jungler or when invadeing him self, he has no real way out.
For jungle, if you have matchups that can't out duel you, he's relatively save, or if you are sure to get help from your lanes if something happens. If you don't get shut down early, he scales pretty well into teamfights and has devasteting ganks and scirmishes whenever his ult is up.
Mid he can bully many melees, and if he plays close with his jungler he allows for powerfull roams post 6, especially 4vs2 dives bot, and you usually win every 2vs2 against the opposing mid+jungle due to the high aoe damage from Q+ult.
I did Rumble jungle once and it was actually pretty OP. I just didn't like his playstyle a whole bunch. Never tried him mid. I know that his home is top though.
