Please don't Rework Swain

At least not the way you're doing it right now.

Moving his ult onto his passive is a bad move, his ult was a defining characteristic. You changed his ultimate as well after moving it onto his passive. Becoming invulnerable and healing after going under 15% health, tell me how this is different at all from Lissandra's ultimate or Volibear's passive?

If you rework Swain, you're taking away everything that was unique about him as a champion. He's fine as he is now, I really don't understand why you're reworking him. He's in a good spot, just not played that often. Swain is an AOE DOT mage, and you're changing that whole gameplay style for what? To make him look cooler or whatever? To make him "Balanced" or "In the meta?" There are like 50+ Other champions that aren't in the meta and are not in a good spot as swain is.

There's no reason for this rework

I'm going to give it to you straight. Swain is one of the most boring champions in the game to play as and against. Everything about him is beyond predictable, he needs changes.

I think hes fun to play, I like the playstyle of all-in tanks. Especially odd ones like Swain.

Idk if hes boring to play against or not, I imagine it cant be any more boring than playing vs Heimer.

I gotta agree, but this guy is talking about the fake looking leak which looks like it'd keep him about as boring as he is now.

Right. I agree that new passive doesn't sound too cool, but it's also probably not on Swain, so... not relevant.

We'll get details when they are sure what they're doing with him, and not sooner.

It's too late, he's at least 3-4 months into the rework. So it's coming wether you want it or not.

I love me some Swain, and I can honestly say, he needs to change. His abilities are all kinds of lackluster, he needs to get ahead to be really effective, and too much of his power is allotted into his ult. It leaves him in a bad spot design-wise.

His transformation is the big high-spot for him, but as I said before, it eats up too much of power allotment. You could nerf it so it's not as strong, but that just leaves him in a spot where that big exciting moment just feels super lackluster and doesn't provide a payoff. And when your character tranforms into a giant, horrifying bird monster, you want it to feel BIG. Which means you have to gate it, and not give him unrestricted access to it.

Honestly I kind of saw this coming the moment they talked about reworking him. Will I be sad that one of my favorite champs is going away as he is? Of course. Will I be irritated that I can't use one of, if not my absolute, favorite abilities in the game anymore? You bet your ass. But I'm also aware that he has some glaring issues that aren't going to get fixed with just a couple small changes; and when you look at it objectively, you have to admit him remaining in his current state just isn't an option.

We all need to band together and support each other in this time of loss. I'm here for you fellow Swain train rider. But acceptance is part of the grieving process and we've got to look forward, not back.

he is not fine now that's y he is in rework, his q is dot not aoe(only atks 1 at a time),w aoe (is actually smallest delayed ability), e dot single target, his ult is his only aoe dot ability but can can be considered the weakest of all ults, there are even regular abilities that do more dmg than his ult. if by balanced u mean buffed(not by this stupid weak leak) then yes he needs it an here is a proper way it can be done.

pass :change to " restore 3-20% hp OR mana depending on which is lower based on dmg dealt" .

w : add "when he snares a enemy champ he gains bonus movement speed", decrease range to 700 and increase radius to 325 (what q currently is)

e : increase range to 700 an make it aoe with radius of 325, add "WHILE marked dmg to swain is reduced by 20% & if target DIES future dmg is increased to target by swain by 5%, & if target kills swain their future dmg by them to swain is reduced by 5%"

r : add " when hit send out another raven at attacker(can either have it cost mana/ raise mana cost)"
