Song of Celerity (E) haste % for allies increased from [10/11/12/13/14 (+3% per 100 AP)] to [10/11.5/13/14.5/16% (+4% per 100 AP)] haste % for Sona increased from 10-14 (+3% per 100 AP)] to [25% (+4% per 100 AP)]

i dont know what most ppl think about this changes but i wanted to ask if this is actually a good solution to one of sona's problems, her lack of mobility really make her unable to survive mostly anything and this makes E worth even putting a point early on, but i also wanted to address the following idea

disclaimer: i know most ppl dont care about sona, and that riot dont read the forums but just hear me out a sec.

i think sona's mayor issue comes from her ult passive, i get that it is there to make her scale very well into the late game, but it sacrifices so much for the early game in a world of high damage that she dont get to that point unless playing very passively or being a sona taric bot lane.

what if we remove the colddown reduction passive of her ult and then make changes to her abilities, for one auras are a cool idea but Q aura is a worst nami E and the shield from her W is just completely inconsecuencial, and the have to be because of how spammable the skills become late game, but if that gets resolve riot could make auras range slightly bigger and make it so Q aura gives allies autos a smaller but consistent magic damage on hit but only while in the aura, the shield from W should last 1 second but its duration refreshes as long as the Ally remain in the aura, same for the movement speed, with these changes plus adjusting some number dont you ppl think she would be more interesting to play? she will still have a glaring weakness of forcing allies to want to stay together for the buffs while also swifting some power from spammable abilities to more consistency and impact on each

its a useless buff plus a partial revert of sona's previous nerfs from patch 9.13 basically riot has no clue on what to do with sona.

You nailed the problem on the head, but people have been saying this since before 4.13 even went Live. The biggest failure of Sona's design is the power trapped in her R ranks. They made her laning phase shit as a "tradeoff" & in general the existence of her R passive is the primary issue making her current shit-kit unbalanceable.

Now, this isn't to say Sona doesn't have other huge problems, some that are nearly as crippling as her R passive. However, removing her R passive is the very first step that MUST be taken on the road to making Sona a playable character again. Or Rito could just pull the stick out of their ass and revert her back to her pre-4.13 kit (aka her ONLY SUCCESSFUL ITERATION.)

Former Diamond Sona main for multiple seasons now. This change is definitely in the right direction since Sona doesn't really need points in E until the 8-10 minute mark if you're against supports that are pretty passive or a bot lane matchup that you can come out even/slightly unfavorable (Raka, Janna, Nami, etc.)

However, an early point in E given the huge popularity of all-in supports really helps her survivability given right positioning and being able to 100-0 the enemy carry with your ADC. The sacrifice of early game survivability for late-game scaling has been an issue along the lines of pre-rework Kayle (level 11 for ranged attacks) but this E change gives her immense early game survivability since she usually also rushes Mobis before getting Ardent (as any good Sona should do nowadays since mobility is favored above all else)

But Sona definitely warrants a rework. Her Q/W has issues that I don't even wanna go into rn.
