Since last patch, it looked like Ryze was heading towards the pitfall and bout to high five Spongebob who lives under the sea But this patch kinda helped Ryze out, the Q damage buff I see how Riot doesn't want that 4 seconds of urf mode Ryze use to have, and yes I totally agree, that is not really necessary, but from 4 seconds to 5 casts, within that 4 seconds if you had fast hands, and good calculating head, you could cast like corki's E, but now 5 casts, hmm But there are good points in limiting casts

  1. Now Ryze doesn't have to be "do or die" when supercharged, so you have limit to 5 casts right? Lets make a scnario, you have four stacks of supercharge used ult at 3rd stack, you start with W Now you have 4 more casts to go, QEQW, there, you finished supercharge, but you still have Q and E's cd so you toss out Q and E, now you already have 2 stacks, usually by lv16 your ult comes off cd after 5casts, so you choose to ult, 3 stacks, most likely Q is off cd again, 4 stacks, and now you have w back up, thats supercharge again

There is little delay in between one suprr charge to another, like reloading a gun If Riot want Ryze to be like a machine gun like champion, I think they are heading towards the right direction now

But if Riot want to buff Ryze, I think it woulf be good idea to start counting the cast statting at 4th or 5th cast when supercharged this way Ryze wouldnt be able to abuse Perma-snare but he will do it if you dont run away
