Should I buy Kennen for mid/top?

So I usually play mid or top with my friends, and I've been looking into getting Kennen. I don't want to buy Zed or Ahri (even though Ahri is amazing right now) since my friends already have them. So, is kennen worth the 4800 IP? Or are there stronger picks I should look into?

Kennen is worth it for the fun imo (first champ I really played enough to call a main), She is really strong if you know what you are doing with her and can keep track of the stuns properly.

depends. top is the safer lane. mid is risky. but both are good in countering specific champions. don't blind pick him.
