Ever occur to you that maybe he wanted to learn the champ instead of being the a-hole who ruins 4 other peoples game in PvP. Wish more people did that.
Tired of hearing how bots aren't a challenge just before a kid feeds 0/10 in 12 minutes because they try a champ first in PvP.

People ignore that they are costing the other players something. IP at the least, chances for Hextech rewards, and Mastery points.

So if they were not just Honor farming they may just be learning the champ.

Sometimes when people have bad connections while traveling they also just play bots to "get their fix".

My experience:

When I still was in school 2-3 years ago I used to play botgames during the week because my Internet wasn't that great. I was using one of those USB mobile sticks to connect and it was enough to play vs bots, but the occasional 5000 ping spikes made it impossible for me to play PvP.

Sometimes people just want to play bots, get a quick first win(this especially means you'll farm the crap out of the bots to end the game faster) or have some fun.

could be just wants to play bots. I don't see a point, but like others said could be just getting honor from the newbies seeing him get constant triples and so forth. And think he is a great player so they give him honor. I mainly play Bots to wind down and don't have to worry since after a stressful game to just kill bots.

Bots games are fast and relaxing if you don't really have much time to waste.

Some people like to feel powerful, and may not have the skill/confidence required to experience that feeling against humans.

Basically everyone at a lower elo (counting sub-30 as sub-bronze) tends to do things that to a higher elo player is all "But...why? That makes no sense? Is there some rational reason for that I'm missing?", but they don't have the experience to recognise their behaviour as such, often even if it's explained to them. This is true for silvers looking at sub-30's as well as diamonds to golds and probably even challengers to diamonds, it's just one of those things you should sorta dismiss as a new player thing and not worry about.

Honor farming. Honestly, I do it too. So few people even use the honor system, it's rare that I see a "you all honored this game, have a bit of progress", nevermind getting honored regularly. It took me from honor rework to like 2 weeks ago to get honor 3 just from how rarely people honor.

You know what earns honors? Lots of kills, people remember you in the honor screen and just blindly vote for you. Bot games are no different, lower level players will usually honor you for the spectacular show. That's why people are killfarming in bots.
