help me get out of bronze lol

ok so im a supp/mid main stuck in bronze recently i tried to rank up a little, and nothing's really happening and by nothing i mean ive been winning and losing about the same amount of games i try to watch videos about good champs to play, what to think in a certain time in the game, role as a supp/mid, learning from mistakes, etc. as i get significant feedback and very useful advice from you amazing players, ill practice these skills in normals the advice id like to get the most is:

general gameplay- how to effeciently play my role to help me and my team to win, when is the perfect time to take objectives, doing things that generally benefit not only me but also my team, and ways to interrup whatever things help the enemy team im facing to win.

champions - ive seen many videos about what good supp/mid champions are popular and/or good in some way, but some champions in both roles dont really fit my playstyle, and some of them i DO main but have trouble playing them as best i can. - champs i main Lux Annie Veigar Sona Katarina Syndra Brand - champs i actually play in ranked/ pretty confident when actually playing them, not exactly meaning i do play them: Lux Sona Annie Ahri

how to help my team - teamwork!!! very i m p o r t a n t! bronze is known for its salty players, and i, a bronze player, is fortunately not salty (most of the time, unless a teammate's inting/trolling to the extent that i will literally send them to hell) if a teammate of mine IS salty, i try to get them back in the game, verbally supporting him and of course trying to LITERALLY help the player help them AND their team. - i would do this by helping them learn from their mistakes, ping (obvious), etc. - if their toxicity is beyond my help, i mute them - if more than 1 teammate is salty and/or fights with each other, i try to help them stop fighting and focus more into the game, and if it's beyond my help again i just mute.

lastly - (if ive done everything i just said AND what you guys said to help me rank up but still fail) can i get some players who are willing to get me out of this? like this is for desperate measures, its not like if i do one thing you guys told me and it doesnt work i wont give up, im more determined than that lol so this is if its literally impossible to do it by myself, which i hope does not happen because:

  1. seeing myself as "bad" really doesnt make me feel happy (well of course, that happens to everyone when put in that situation) but i mean its really bad for me, i really like this game and it would be SUCH a shame if i stop this game, and with full honesty, its not that bad as everyone says! i enjoy playing this game!
  2. i really dont want to waste anyone else's time if they do help me, its not their fault im not in a better rank, so i deeply apologize if it DOES happen.

thank you to anyone that reads this, im completely fine if you dont leave a comment, but im definitely not saying no! XD

league of legends is a great game, i really really enjoy it, but getting a higher rank will help me become more happier when playing it! that is the purpose of making games, entertaining whoever plays it right?

If you want my opinion, just play the champion you have the highest win rate with. In this case it's probably Veigar. (I looked at your op.gg)

In other words, play champions that you can solo (or carry with one other person) carry EASILY with instead of playing champions that are team reliant.

I was going to say maybe you rotate champs to often. Could try playing draft with particular champ as much as you can. I do this if I am planning to play a rank game so I can get myself reoriented with the champ. As well long the way I may pick up a few tricks or learn something new. Can try an alternative build. You might meet a champ you were playing against in draft in a ranked and if anything you know how to play around them with that champ you have practice with. Probably best to play a champ that does not get ban often.

Basically, a warm up excerise.

However, I think Auccuatt advise is a really good if not the best.

I have had hommies in bronze over the years ask for help, so I used to spectate them and watch some recorded bronze matches on youtube. My observation is that the lane phase is inconsistent, it semi regularly breaks down randomly into constant grouped up teams with gold starved carry's trying to snowball of team fights and kills. For that reason I recommend folks avoid late game gold dependent champions in bronze as its unreliable that you will be impactful in short matches. Veigar is a bit of an exception but ill touch on that later.

Mechanics. I feel that if you wanna improve at lol you need at the very least to have a basic understanding of Vision control, Orb walking/animation cancels, Positioning, Map awareness, Csing and wave control, Team play, and champion/item knowledge (If you want to have a better time in ranked ensure you have a basic grasp on each champions kit and what items provide when purchased). I wanna take a moment and say that this is not an accusation that you yourself don't do the above so much as its things commonly missing in that elo. I also would recommend setting your options from Stock to a custom set and that ya use Smart casting, or smart casting with indicators. I don't always use moba terms from league so if you have any questions let me know and I'm happy to clarify.

Roles, I would avoid adc and support, you can win and climb playing them but they tend to depend on their teammates more. Tops some what of an island, but can roam or run TP. Mid has best roam of all lanes, Jungles have the option to have the most impact on teammates lanes. This being said, Roam will not nessesarly be the deciding factor in a win or loss. You wont always teammates who can make plays off your help, so try to think how much help your gonna need, how complex of help, and how long of a window it will be, and what objective you can work on if it goes well.

**Runes **will matter for rest of the season. Each free stat you get from a rune is worth its weight in gold. If ya have a bad page or totally derp and use the wrong one. your starting the game several hundred gold behind folks with right runes. Note that the 1 size fits all does not work, options are your friend. Besides the obvious champion X has no use for stat Y, there is also times where your gonna need a secondary set for your main champion, after all MR blues do nothing for All AD enemy team, you have lost 180 gold in stats running them.

Attitude, don't let a loss get you down. You have just become more experienced and thus one small step towards becoming better, its only the folks who go IM FLAWLESS TEAMMATES GARBO FK RITO RIGGID BS CRAP MATCHMAKING CRAP GAME, and never look at self improvement that will be stuck in "elo hell" for ever. One of my previously mentioned buddys in bronze for example has to this day ignored my advice about self improvement and not being a toxic player. Its the op fotm broken cheep champion enemy used, his teammates not following up when he dives into a 1 v 5, etc etc etc etc. Don't let a teammate or enemy get you tilted. As riot has mentioned people play worse when upset. If your typing paragraphs out your not using ability's and likely gonna be a good deal more distracted. Try to keep teammates civil, wont always work but it can keep a game from falling apart. If you don't have a thick skin, just play with enemy team muted at all times. At the end of each game take a moment and look over numbers, they are a good way figure out what you can improve on.

Low elo has a different meta. The game flow is different and individual skill is super uneven. Gold gain is less reliable, you might get boatloads of free gold from a feeder or you might get starved out because some one derped and snowballed and enemy. Personally I would recommend ability oriented Aoe, high range poke champions, as with good positioning they are safe, can put out solid damage, and keep them self alive to keep dishing out dps, most champs who fit this bill are extremely skillshot reliant and rely heavily on player skill . Next up would be champions with safe and hard cc, folks whos main punishment for wiffing their skill is ya just have to wait for it to come off cd, they will be relying more on teammates but should still make enough impact when played well to win matches. After that is any one who can demolish a teamfight, some champs that can do this are easier to play but will require more from teammates as they need team fights to happen to thrive, not folks derping off or funneling in 1 by 1.

Now for some tailored Veigar thoughts, Cool thing about veig is that hes got an AOE cc, good in team fights, can catch people out, is a late game champ who has a decent lane phase, some really good matchups, and can snowball like a mofo. Even when a game falls aprt 16 min into never ending team fights veigars passive provides him with 21.75 gold in ap each time he hits a skill on an enemy champion, so even if teammates are interfering with your ability to cs you still have more income then others relying on static gold generation, kills, and assits. Also he gets an extra 108.75 golds worth of ap on assits and kills. He has multiple viable builds so you can tailor your items to the match. Only downside is if your a huge threat your gonna paint a target on your face so expect more jungle pressure on you if your doing well in lane, and to be the person the enemy team trys to catch out or drop first. You also will struggle with tanky front lines as you wont always have the range or opportunity to get the enemy's back line, and as a squishy immobile caster chain cc will be your doom. Positioning well will help but some games it wont be enough. Don't get discouraged when they happen.

If he is working for you, for the love of god keep playing him. If you hit a wall, or it starts feeling like your impacts not enough to compensate for unskilled teammates, consider giving Ziggs a shot. Just know hes got a fat skillcap.

If you're in bronze just work on your mechanic. Dodging/hitting skillshot, getting used to pressing QWER, last hitting, and getting the flow of the champ you enjoy playing.

game knowledge can come later. having a strategy but no mechanic to pull it off is worthless.

I'll just keep this simple since everyone already has great advice like the guy that reccomeneded Vladimir( cough cough, he's my one trick so I may be overtly biased ). However, in all seriousness The easiest to climb out of bronze is to play ONE champion, it doesn't matter which, just pick the one you like. I don't want you to do anything else. Everything related to mechanics: Teamfights, wave control, warding, objectives, etc, can come later. Telling someone what they should do is much much harder than putting what they remember in practice, it all comes from experience and the number of games you're willing to play. There's a reason some players are in higher divisions and some aren't, it all comes down to how much time you're willing to invest in the game.

still working on this myself :) but a bit of advice:

  • dont even try talking to other players, for about 30 games. or even caring so much if you win. ...

  • for your next 30 games, try to just EXCELL in a single champ, in a single lane. IE: just focus on YOU, and become supreme master of a specific champ and role.

When you can be 2/0 in your lane, or get first blood tower consistenly (or be 20cs up)... then people will listen to what you have to say in game.

otherwise.. they are more likely to have an attitude of "what do you know? just shut up and focus on what you are doing".

Contrariwise: if someone ELSE is 2/0, or got first blood... maybe just listen to what THEY have to say ;)

if you play champs likeLux consider adding Morgana Zyra Velkoz Lissandra to your pool.

Lux is by far my best and favourite champ, but shes unreliable in certain situations against irritating champs like Zed or Yasuo.

Champs like Lissandra, Morgana and Karma counter in different ways.
