The Q has a short delay on it. Move to the left or right immediately when you see it drop in and you might be able to dodge the stun. Alternatively, Zhonya's/Wind Wall with Yasuo while the balls are beating your face in with her ultimate will stop them.

She has counterplay, but her burst is so high that people who don't use it before she gets ahead, thus letting her get ahead, don't get a chance to use it after she's ahead because she literally just drops down a couple of balls before ulting then it doesn't matter if everything else missed, her point and click ult will instakill anyone.

If they did the same thing they did to the assassins to Syndra, Syndra would be worse than Azir mid.
