why is blitzcrank so fucking toxic?
the dude has constant pressure and a lost game can be won just because this guy landed 1 out of 50 hooks.

Blitz is, imo, one of the worst designs for a champion possible. The dude can miss 99 out of 100 hooks, but if he lands that ONE hook, it's a game changer. He offers nothing to his team aside from his pull. If he misses it, he is essentially a tanky minion until it goes off cooldown. That's not even counting the fact that he does ridiculous damage with his 100% AP Ratios.
As a support main, I despise this champ. I have Alistar up to level 4 solely off playing against the sheer amount of Blitzcranks, since he's the only true counter I can find. He either deletes a squishy for landing an easy skillshot and pulling them into a 1v5, or he pulls a tank into his team and potentially loses the game due to giving them a free initiation. To be honest, I've seen games where a tank hasn't even survived a pull long enough to use their cc, especially now that Lord Dominik's exists.
I've been pulled by Blitz and instantly deleted as a 4k HP, 300 armor Shyvana or Hecarim. The whole "free initiation" thing is vastly overrated against a team that plays around their Blitz. The only time it will actively lose you the game is if you pull a Galio, Alistar or Amumu. Even pulling a Malphite is fine because he will be in hte middle of your team instead of flanking, so you can position such that he'll make minimum impact.
From 5 people's autoattacks with base damage alone, that's 500 AD worth of autos going on you. Blitz himself has the hook with 300 base damage, ult with 300 base damage and a double damage + autoattack reset E. And that's just base damage. Adding in items and spell casts from non-Blitz champs, you absolutely cannot survive unless you are a 6 slotted Nautilus with shield already up or Tryndamere.

Exactly, that's one of the main "Blitzcrank counter" arguments. No one realizes that, tank or not, you're still getting pulled into a team of five people, and you're likely going to lose a few seconds of cc due to the stun, knockup, and silence from Blitz alone and god knows what from the rest of his team. I genuinely don't understand how Riot considers him "healthy". The only champs I've seen who always be deadly to pull are Alistar and Amumu. Galio can be hit by Blitz's autoattack knockup and have his ult canceled. I suppose Leona can work, but she doesn't bring heavy aoe cc like Ali or Amumu.
I'll throw in my support for this.
Blitz is my number one most hated champion. As a support main, you don't know how many times I've heard 'omg just dodge his hooks, it's easy!' when I express my distaste for this champion.
You can outplay the fuck out of a Blitz in lane, not get snatched by a single hook, but come teamfighting midgame, he lands ONE GOOD HOOK and it's over.
Because he hasn't converted to clean energy yet.
dude needs to buy a prius soon
its because noobs have a really hard time playing against him. its the same thing as honey. little babies should not eat honey because it has substances in it that the baby cant digest but once you grow up, honey is pretty cool.
the only problem: league players dont grow up automatically, they actually need to work for it. thats the bad news bud.
Just dodge the spears.
Rolf
just pink ward the hook
because he only needs to land a grab to win lane, and then only needs to land 1 grab to win game.
