About Taliya's W

So i just tested out the taliyah w changes and i just wanted to give my feedback. I don't want to bash vector casting cause it doesn't feel horrible to use and i could probably get used to it there are 2 main points i want to bring up against going this route.

First off most taliyah players are already used to double tapping w and it doesn't feel that much different from vector casting but it makes you feel more in control of your w. An example of this is that without vector casting you can hold on to the second cast slightly in case you're leading someone in or if you're using it out of vision. It is mostly used as quick as possible that's for sure and i wont pretend like this is extremely important but it was something cool you could do.

The second and most important point against it is the fact that vector cast doesn't allow you to automatically cast at full range. People who smartcast without range indicators will have a much harder time hitting her w and the more frustrating aspect is that if you press w out of range it makes you walk into range first. This a problem because most times when you press w you want it to go off at that exact moment and if you knew max ranges it really helped with aiming. But now you may possibly walk forward and give opponents a much easier tell as to what you can do. An argument can be made that it gives her more skill but i think it just makes her a unnecessarily harder to play as you have to explicitly know her max range or never try to cast at max range for fear of messing it up if you walk forward by mistake. I feel the best way to go would be to keep the current w cast without the lockout. Especially for reason 2 its a very serious issue i never press w thinking oh i want it at this specific place (apart from the fact its a skillshot) i'm more worried about it going off as soon as i hit it when at max range. They're pretty similar when in range but the max range cases makes the current cast so much better. I hope its not too confusing a read.

Also if anyone @riot reads this are we going to get to test out the w current cast without lockout in this pbe cycle?

I play a lot of Taliyah. For the love of god Riot, leave her alone.

I've played ~100 games of taliyah in plat ranked so far this season. I played her earlier on PBE and while vector cast didn't feel bad, I prefer the current method much more and if it needs to be changed at all I would just prefer for the lockout to be removed.

I'm just trying to understand the logic behind the change to vector casting, is it not possible to have the current system without the lockout? if that was possible that would be the logical step as opposed to making the current taliyah mains learn a new spell rotation and casting system.
