Cass's new passive

3/25 PBE Update

I am aware that these are NOT final, however it was confirmed that it IS the direction she is going in

When I first saw the new kit I was really excited! The elimination of her old passive, and some power distribution. I was also really excited for her new anti-mobility CC, and I think it's great that Riot is putting in forms of CC to counter dashes and such.

That said, I really really don't like the new passive, because while it doesn't do it as much, it still has the same gating issues that her current passive has. While we have no numbers currently, I can almost guarantee that she is going to have a low movespeed, and then it will scale up to Swifties at level 18. Unless this passive makes her SUPER fast, it really doesn't help her at all, and might even hurt her by blocking her out of item 3020 and the Mpen it gives. The first comparison that comes to mind is Lissandra 's passive, which combined with her astronomical mana cost on her main ability make it more of a hindrance than anything (they could just as easily not give her that passive and lower her mana costs)

Can we just give Cass a simple, low power budget, and NOT gating passive? Two immediate ideas are a Magic Resist Shred or Slow on both posions, or a slight mana regen boost when enemies are poisoned.

I know that without numbers, I am probably just jumping to conclusions and using inb4 logic, but I really just don't want riot to make the same mistake they made last time they reworked her.

It's actually pretty fun to play with. She feels smooth. She can kite far better early than she ever could, but isn't just about oppressive E spam. I'd liken it to getting boots when you usually would, but passively. Q is like a Furor enchant.

So they didn't gut her MS and then compensate with the passive? Like I said, I don't know the numbers and I don't have PBE access. I like the idea of having an extra item slot, but I'm just a concerned Cass player.

No, she just feels smoother. I'm not a Cass main by far but when I found out she was getting updated I tried to play her as much as I could for the 'feel' aspect.
It's almost like she can kite how she does on live once she gets Rylais, but without getting Rylais and without oppressing the opponent with E.
I'm sure any Cass main will be quite happy.

I found out her E cd is bugged atm though (currently It's longer than 1secs functionally and the tooltips are bugged), so she might be a tad strong :P Her W is also not in final form either apparently but the movement block thing means you can fight stuff that would have usually killed you if you had even tried.

I find it that her W is going to be like Poppy's is the more interesting thing. The only potential bad thing about this is she now has no access to tenacity.
