Katarina is still a cancer
Well i though katarina wont be that much cancer after the new patch but all she needs to do is safe farm until mid game she still can 100-0 anyone in 2 sec thats just ridiculous and i hate those game where kata is.

The point is to open her up to harass early without hitting her late-game power. You have to pick someone that can beat her early to stop her from scaling. (and ping mia every time you dont see her so she doesnt roam for kills) Honestly, vision and teamwork kinda shuts her down.
I thought one champion is too small a factor to matter in a 5v5? (of course, I knwo this isnt truew for Jax).
Well i wanted to add that people whine about how riven is op which isnt true becouse shes 1. Not so easy to play 2. not so tanky 3. its her job to deal dmg. 4. shes meh in teamfights in opposite to kata which rapes all one by one
I hate QQ as much as the next guy, but I am inclined to agree on this one. So irritating to keep her down early and still watch her get a catch here or there and turn into a monstrosity.
Had the best luck with Annie vs Kat just to counter explode her when she tried to go in.
Also you have a point about the simplicity of playing Kat. I haven't played Kat in probably 5-6 months and I bet I could pick her into whatever in solo Q and carry my nuts off.
At low Elo she's not a problem either. Jsut play draft, she's banned 90% of the time. Along with zed and yasuo.
Wich might be a sign that she IS problematic.

I don't even play Katarina, and I hate the tryhards who use her all day, but nah. She is not "a cancer". She's really not hard to lane against, even moreso now. She is trash tier compared to Urgot or Leblanc or even Morgana. She's strong, but she has many weaknesses to counterbalance it, it's completely fair. All it is is a matter of bullying her, backing off so she doesn't shunpo your minion, and denying her kills, and call MIA when she disappears(she'll give up on you and want to snowball desperately and go to a different lane)
