Duo support bot NEW META?

Riots recent preseason announcement details many changes to the exp balance of the game. The overall basics of them are: Solo lane Exp is going up, jungle and duo lane exp is going down, and support items will punish you less if you farm minions with them. The effect these changes will have will come in stages. First, unconventional carrys (Heimer, Garren, Yasuo, ect.) will be pushed out of the lane entirely. Even at equal gold, a 3-4 level discrepancy mean these champions will be effectively useless against solo laners. Unfortunately, marksmen can not rejoice. Even though the symptoms(the unconventional carrys) have receded the illness(the systematic problems with the marksmen class as a whole) still persist. For a while Marksmen will be played bot lane again but their impact on the game will be even less than it is now, and marksmen players know how little that is already. Then, someone will realize that if bot lane is too resource starved to actually scale into the game, why not just bring only the champs that are designed to function when resource starved? Those champions being the support champions. As people experiment with that, someone will figure out how to exploit the new support items and then goodbye marksmen!

Alternatively, support item exploits will be found day one allowing bot lane to generate way to much gold causing double marksmen lanes to be a thing.

In either case expect Roit to fail to make any significant improvements insisting these changes really were for the better they just have to get the numbers right and we got it right THIS patch finally, we mean it this time, ignore all those other times we said that before.

TL;DR: bot lane will be a shitshow for half a year or more.
