When are you gonna understand that a wombo combo meta will never be a thing anymore? The last time this meta was viable was in middle S2 when lanning phase consisted in 20 minutes of passive farming and later on teamfighting was everything and the meta wasn't so evolved like it is now with the rotations, disengage, poke, etc
It's fine as long as she is good enough in soloq (and she is fine atm in soloq) We don't give a fuck about competitive play and their picky meta.
idk what other niche there is for her outside of being an aoe machine, which they could probably emphasize a little further
everyone else has what she does covered besides that
the passive is kind of lame though, especially with how low her base AD is in comparison to other carries now
I think you misconstrue the purpose of balancing. The whole point of balancing is so that anything and everything will have its niche and strengths in any meta, not to make a certain group of choices the "meta" and the most optimal thing to do. Having a meta of power picks is a by-product of poor balancing and poor relationships between champions/items. The meta-game should only exist insofar as strategic choices; rather, there should be no harshly defined meta such that there can be strategic choices.
