I keep encountering people scripting on Kai'Sa and low elo players just think they are smurfs.

I'm eagerly awaiting S9, and hoping for some well needed changes to League. (I think we all are.) I currently have all the season rewards I want on my main so in my last week I've been playing on this account with my friends for fun. However, in that week I've encountered 3 different people scripting on ADC. Two were Kai'Sa and one was a Tristana.

After reporting them to Riot support it appears they haven't logged in since to play anymore games. (One of them looked to be boosting a support player, and that player hasn't played anymore games either.)

[slayer-jinx-wink]

Once I was 100% sure they were scripting I called them out on it in game. While I did have a few people agree with me quite a few people tried to defend them as possible smurfs(and I don't just mean the people on the scripter's team.) I think this is due to the fact low elo players think high level ADC players play like these scripters do. They simply just don't know the difference or what to look for. Below I'll outline some tips on how to always spot them. While scripting has evolved it has the same very easy to spot flaws it's always had. Think of scripts like someone cheating in poker and being able to see all the other player's hole cards. Their play doesn't adhere to traditional strategy or a long term edge that makes mathematical sense. So for the seasoned player who does that's where scripts become super easy to spot. The scripts play with reckless abandon and greed to make the fastest immediate profit for those using them.

If you think about it that's why they cheat in the first place. They don't want to put in the time and effort to get better. They just want to win as easily and as quickly as possible. It's why they've chosen to cheat in the first place!

Things to look for:

-Same pattern of hyper aggressive play/poke (especially in lane) into dive you and kill you as soon as possible. Scripts only care about getting fed quickly and setting up those enemy HP bars to be taken down as soon as possible.

-Using the exact same harass combos over and over. Usually it will press you in lane so the script can get them off as soon as the cool downs are available again.

-Pathing jukes have gotten better since a lot of them will now allow you get hit as long as it won't kill you usually. There is still some noticeable target focus issues when trapped in a bad position that makes it super obvious. (Last hitting pink wards or minions in the middle of a team fight or skirmish.)

-Here's a huge one and is almost always a dead giveaway: In the middle of a fight or near any fight they will try to last hit every champion they can even if it makes absolutely no sense mechanically. Example: The enemy Kai'Sa was 1v1ing our Anivia around behind our red buff. Right behind our red buff the enemy Lee sin Ults our Leona into the enemy Aatrox CC nearby. Kai'Sa just barely now in range turns and autos to take the kill on Leona in the middle of all of that chaos then immediately goes back to 1v1ing Anivia like nothing ever happened.

-Very early use of flash when ganked or caught out of position that always results in trying to 1v5 rather than run away. The script never fears for safer positioning once it's flash is down since it's goal is to just get you fed. The second they flash they will just try to 1v5 and get as many kills as possible. Usually without any frame delay they may already be targeting someone during the flash animation with an ability or auto attack. A funny way to find out is randomly blowing your flash into them from a bush or spot they don't have vision on. The frame you appear they will stop pathing to where they were going and just instantly combo you down like a god.

-They will always try to suicidally all in you if you're low enough. The greed of getting a kill is just too much for the script, and it assumes it will just outplay your whole team anyways often netting multiple kills even if it dies in the end.

-Check their OP.GG. They will have stats like in the picture above. Currently 90% win rates on Kai'Sa and Tristana are a dead giveaway(Whatever the hot ADC is at the time anyways.) Sometimes they will play other ADCs, but again the scripters are greedy and will inevitably shift towards the ADC that is giving them the most wins. Right now that ADC appears be Kai'Sa. (I remember when it used to be Vayne, lol. Kai'Sa must be Vayne 2.0)

I remember back in the day in S3/4 when this stuff was in like every other game for a while. I've lived through that era. I know what scripting looks like, and once you know what to look for it's very easy to spot. Also keep in mind it's better to report them and be wrong, than to not report them and let them keep getting away with it. [poppy-wink]

not to put a damper on this, but unless the player is making plays that a biologically unlikely, such as using a targeted ability on one side of the screen and then using an escape ability in the opposite direction on the other side of the screen with no delay between them...

you have to watch out for inhuman speeds and not implausible

for example, you say to watch for repeated harass patterns, well, a lot of combos and patterns are unique to champions or playstyles. Now, it might mean something if they always do it at a set range...

20 kills in a match is not too unusual. 20 kills in every match is unusual, but they might be kill stealing to bump up their numbers

although not impossible, some players do change the attack/move command to auto target the nearest target to their cursor

I played against 1 scripter in my entire life and he never got banned.

  1. Riven Diamond 5 riven with such shitty stats, getting in several games where he is playing better than boxbox and riven mains.

He literally had the perfect combos, always afk in the lane when he sees 2v1. I suspect he was making scripts to work against those situations and then bum yeah, he gets 2v1 with perfect combo done. I went invisible with Akali in shroud > and guess what? He actually saw me where I was going, no pink ward, nothing and he just attacked me wherever i would go in shroud.

He was so perfect, no mistakes in combos, nothing. So fucking scripter that never got banned.

I believe I found a scripter Yasuo bot on my team the other day, he was getting kills all over the place. He ended up getting S+ I think and KDA was: 26/2/5. It felt really suspicious because other parts of his profile show him fed in different matches entirely. Just two days ago he got a KDA of 32/5/8, quadra kill on (on Yasuo, the same champion). Although there are a few losses on his OP.GG he does a bit poorly in those games. It's weird because he seems to do well whenever he wins. Also on my first ever ranked game for promos, (flexed lmao), their Darius top was even more suspicious than this Yasuo. Even though that Darius wasn't as nearly as great as our Yasuo. I was playing Nidalee, in that flexed game. Whenever I tried to land a spear on Darius, HE JUST MOVES TO THE SIDE, I thought he was good at ranked or something but that doesn't make much sense to me. Since it was the first one, you'd think they wouldn't give me harder teammates than the next promo matches? Plus barely anyone else in the match was using a dodging technique like that. Darius was definitely a scripting son of a bitch.

I'm not sure about your signs to look out for. Because high-elo players (and by that I mean diamond 1+) play extremly agressive in lane. They do try to harass you on every last-hit you do, they punish you for every single misstep- and using the same combo to harass is not really anything out of the ordinary either. And assuming that they are indeed diamond 1+ their op.gg profile will look exactly the same as that of a scripter.

For me the most crucial indicator is looking at how they use the minion wave. The low-elo players all just mindlessly hit the minions, but high-elo players will use strategic minion wave manipulation to their advantage. (And I don't think that the script fixes that for them)

I don't like cheating but I've gotta say, I have mixed feelings about this. I'll never do it but I have thought about it. I get so much feeding trash on my team that make it impossible to win games. Scripting, to some people, might be the only way to overcome that and actually carry feeders. I'm not supporting cheating but I do get why some people might ultimately employ it.

I literally just encountered what you are talking about. I played vs a new to ranked player with like an 80% winrate on KaiSa, but she was obviously scripting and not actually clicking to move around. Flashes on the pixel edge of stuns, etc. Super aggressive all in dives with perfect dodges. (This was in plat elo if you were wondering.)

This thread came up when I was looking up where it could of come from. There's actually a bunch of websites with scripts for KaiSa and they apparently have a ton of people saying it works and they are using them. It's disgusting to see posts on those cheating websites, "Finally this script got me to diamond guys, you guys are gods for making this!" Like holy fking puke.

Riot should really step in and do something about this. I know they've abandoned this forum and stuff, but seriously if any reds are reading this take a look into this cheating. [zombie-nunu-bummed]
