Constructive opinion on mage item changes

I think it is fine for the most part. I only have 2 complaints that I think are relatively easy for riot to deal with.

  1. Riot might need to make a pass over mages and adjust mana costs. Champs like ziggs are gonna be starved of play the second the mage update hits. Ziggs is all about high pressure, he has a semi global, amazing wave clear, and super low cooldowns. Despite his low cooldowns, he also has moderately high mana costs. With no item to efficiently mitigate his costs, he will be useless.

  2. The catalyst change only tends to a very select few champions, Like swain(he will be broken AF, calling it now), Kassadin, and Karthus. The problem with the design is that you heal less than the mana you gain. Athenes wasnt only an aggressive pick, but a defensive one. You can build it on mages against bullies to allow you to farm safely with your spells. The removal of this will force mages into building a mana item, which will be catalyst because they need the early sustain but being forced to take damage to regain mana will not work to mitigate a lane bully. Basically you are removing a huge and very important decision/playstyle from mages' laning and failing to replace that with an alternative.

Other than that I think the ideas are cool. Especially the hextech stuff :D. I'm excited to so how you update the mages :)
