A person say g5 that has 125 games or a g5 in same division with 200+? Or is it the samd basically? Im still doing placements right now (1-1) and im playing with golds n plats. Just hoping my mmr doesnt droped down to s5 afterwards. Friend was g5 weng 3-7 got s3 so im just hoping its not a bad drop i had i think 68 wins 24 losses or so last season before makin gold.

Hard to say, there are so many things that make a good player. One could be much better mechanically, but make very poor decisions. Unfortunately since there was a soft reset you're pretty much guaranteed to get a lower rank than you had during preseason. The rank you get depends more on your last season MMR than how well you do in your Provisionals. For example my Diamond 4 friend went 5/5 and he was placed in platinum 2, which is to be expected with the soft reset. I was Gold 2 and it placed me in gold 5 for going 5/5. Another friend of mine was platinum 5, he also went 5/5 however, he was sort of stuck at p5 and lost even with 0lp so his MMR was lower than his rank and he was placed in silver 2.

I'm not exactly sure if you want to know who is better or what rank they'll get. For both players, unless they won all 10 in Provisionals they are going to be placed in silver. The lowest you could be placed in is probably b2 if you had low MMR for your rank. Most likely though if you go 5/5 you'll be placed in silver 2-ish range....Just to give you an idea of how much your provisionals matter, if s2 is your "mid way" point for going 5/5, then if you win all 10 you will probably be placed silver 1 or gold 5. If you lost all of them then you'd likely be placed around silver 5.

Keep in mind I don't know exactly know how riot does it, this is more guess work based on how the provisionals affected myself and my friends.
