New Rek'Sai Ult Question

"Passive: Dealing damage to enemy Champions marks them for the next 5 seconds" "Active: Rek'Sai lets out a harrowing scream before burrowing underground seeking out a marked target. Moments later she leaps from underground, dealing 100 (+x) physical damage +20% of their missing health."

Now then, does this include passive effects like Sunfire Cape? The return damage from Thornmail? An attack from a minion that Rek'Sai used Banner of Command on? What about an item like Redemption? I'm not sure that a jungle Rek would ever want to buy it, but I could potentially see a support Rek'Sai rushing Redemption for coordinated tower dives and whatnot. Seems like there could be many potential abuse cases if the prerequisite is "Deal Damage". Any insight? @Meddler

Test complete. Thornmail, Sunfire Cape, Redemption, they all inflict the passive of her ult to allow targeting by the New Rek'Sai R. What DOES NOT work is Banner of Command damage from a minion, even though it gives gold for each minion killed by the Bannered Minion. Any questions?

True, so maybe it is only her kit that inflicts a mark? I will go on PBE and test this and get back to you ASAP.

I'm assuming from the video of the new ult that it is strictly auto attack damage, but I may be wrong.

Presumably, any source of damage from Rek'Sai would result in a mark.

That being said, I don't really think this can be abused in any way. You'd need to be close to them for Sunfire or Thornmail to proc anyway, and Redemption has such a long activation, you may as well just use Prey Seeker.
