Can pantheon's block stop blocking crucial abilities that "just so happen" to apply on hit effects?

Siphoning Strike, Steel Tempest, Parley, Double Up, lunge, urchin strike. Etc etc.

I'm aware siphoning strike is literally an empowered auto, but the other are pushing it. It shifts Riot's intention of "counter play" to "counter pick" People don't look at pantheon and say "how can I counter play this champion?", Pantheon players look at themselves and say "Oh they picked A nasus? I'm going to counter pick with Pantheon". Pantheon is nothing special in the face of a laner who doesn't need to auto to produce a lot of damage. But Pantheon out trades people who rely on it so hard, while also doing a lot of damage, even without stacking any AD.

It's the only thing in his kit that leaves him viable. Don't touch it unless you want his damage to go up or his ult to land much faster (I wouldn't mind trading that for his ult landing 3s instead of 6s+). But you know someone who is in a bad state has one ability that keeps them somewhat viable and you want to nerf it?

IF they took a something like a second off his ult impacting while making his passive have a 2/1.5/1 second down time after being proc'd I would be fine with that.

Um what so gut him completely. You crazy. His entire kit is burst before he gets bursted if you can't do that you are useless. In order to make him even viable at that point his ult would have to land in about 3s max. You take out a huge amount of his durability by capping his passive on top of making it less reliable.

Also I may add, Pantheon has the worst late game of any champ. The only redeeming factor he has is back dooring and mobility which don't mean much except when people leave their base open or over extend like a mofo.

give and take

I could see hsi ult having a faster time of happening being good overall but he would need some kind of trade off. I jsut suggested somethign to try and make him a little more reliable for things other then poking out the enemy laner.

I actually think it's funny that we have a spartan with a giant shield that only blocks one auto every x seconds.

The Phalanx was the key strategic element of the army, but panth just uses it to block basic attacks
