Illaoi - broken and needs work NOW

so im laying a few games today and see the new champ is out, so theres 2 games where shes not banned, little did i know in about 10 seconds hell would break loose where this broken champ is taking down half my health with just her E and i cant escape because the tenticles are killing my spirit. this needs to be reviewed and worked on, id like to say she fell off late game but nope, she's overall just too strong and her abilities need to have some kind of nerf. i reccommend lessening the time after test of spirit so its not so long, or perhaps longer cooldowns would be appropriate, the tenticles could also use a damage reduction as they were hitting me after i built armour for 155 at level 4

The fact is though the only recent champion to come out that hasn't been stupidly OP at launch is Bard. Every other champion that Riot releases is broken beyond all reasonable measures of broken. Tahm still hasn't had his stupid crap nerfed and now we have this to deal with too?

Vel is... was... felt powerful but it's like Riot forgot about him and Kindred was nerfed almost immediately with stacking. I'm not an old enough player to know what Karma was like before either.

Sounds like you let her ulti multiple people,you let her e hit, you didn't reposition to avoid anything, you didn't ask the adc to buy executioner calling when lane phase was over, and you let her land everything.

She has power, but the amount of exploitable flaws she has makes her useless. Fun fact, if you time your cc you can interrupt her ulti and w to further make her useless.

Stop being blind by pain and learn how to treat/avoid it in the first place.

This is funny, I haven't played since this champs release because i saw this exact thing coming. its funny cause Now all the game play videos are coming out and doing exactly what i was concerned about. I mentioned all the same things. And to be honest i still stick with the theory that Riot is trying to take all skill away from what used to make this game fun to play. Hence Illaoi. I don't care what anyone says, the ability to create a clone copy of someone specifically to NOT HAVE to fight your opponent is boring, takes ZERO Skill, and is the reason i don't play lol anymore. Maybe when they fix this no skill champ ill play again.

yes i did. it's the fact that the vessel lasts so long. when you're low hp, you can't really stop to fight tentacles. and the range on the tentacles is a little bit ridiculous.

problem i find is she can freeze lane VERY EASY, and camp one tenticle spot, the second you break it... it comes back.. Side note SHE CAN TP ON her tenticles....

Her e is a huge fuck you when you are trying to farm, take free damage that you can't retaliate from unless you fight her back.... giving into her fighting on her terms... tenticles and w.... Or run and have to deal with the vessel crap which stops you from doing anything....

Not to mention she heals from any dmg ANY of the tentacles do so if you run from her E and don't dodge one of the spawned Tentas near you guess what she's doin? Yup, healing, plus if she q's your spirit she heals off of that too. Plus am I the only one who finds it funny that her God values motion but her kit benefits from staying in one spot?

when you run out of it you still get hit with the tenticle spawn and the 90% slow and attacking her actually makes it worse

There are TWO MAJOR problems with your argument.

ONE>Not every champion released is going to be perfect. PBE helps get a feel for how champions can be too strong or weak but the entire community is going to put feedback into it. Whining about it isn't helping with your "i cant eskapee wahh" item 3070 Give more accurate and constructive criticism so Riot and everyone else will know what you're saying.

TWO>She's a new champion. You know how to counter her entirely? No? Then don't whine. You'll have to fight and lose against her to get a feel for her abilities.

you cant counter her, theres nothing to do against a champion that destroys most of your health while youre 100 feet away from her, and i was constructive in my argument? i literally said what they could do to help with how broken she is in my argument, maybe you should read more carefully before you try to say anything.

That's your opinion. I play Urgot into her and bully her out of lane. If you stay behind minions, or dodge Q you have no issue with her.

Ok... her E is gives her too many pros, she pulls a part of you that CAN't fight back... and you take damage from it... IF you leave the area you can't go back and farm, you have to spend time killing the spawning tentacles so as to not take free damage in lane. Which only leaves fighting her in retaliation for fighting on her terms... which Illaoi excels at defensive sieging, like a Heimerdinger .

I feel like if you destroy her tentacles as soon as they come up, then she is really weak. Her damage only comes if there are two or more tentacles. And if you can dodge her e (which is easy cuz it's cast animation is so long) then she is really not a threat.

Also if she does e you, go fight her if she has no tentacles, she is really ability dependent and if her abilities are on CD then her damage is low. Plus the only ability that can interact with the tentacles is her w.

My priorities when laneing against her are

destroy all tentacles ASAP
Dont get E'd (if she does land it, and you did #1 properly, go attack her, she is WEAK without tentacles)
Poke Her
All in on her when possible considering that #1 has been done properly.
Even when she is attacking you, still do #1 before attacking her, while dodging her skills.
Tell your jungler to gank you, she is weak against ganks as she has no escape and no immediate slow or any cc.
#1 IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. DO #1 AND YOU WILL WIN AGAINST
