Can Athenes heal be applied to buffs?

I don't know if it needs a buff, but I played a game of Zillean and tried Athenes. I could apply it to allies with my E because of Summon Aery, but it still felt a little irritating to have to wait for it to be used.

The other supports that could benefit from this is Braum and arguably Nunu.

Maybe I'm being greedy but I felt like Zillean is the perfect support for Athenes. Athenes Nunu doesn't actually sound too troll either. If there are abuse cases or its a bad idea I guess I'd be content with it not happening but it sounds a little interesting maybe?
