Can we make Zyra a playable mage again

There have been literal dozens of suggestions as to how to differentiate zyra mage from zyra support all the while she was being nerfed, and none have been employed. As she stands, while she can deal good damage and has decent late game dps when shes full build, as of now shes too weak function, much less make it to late game, especially as an immobile mage.

Ideas like Support scaling for the duration of her root / durability of her plants. lowering base damage values and increasing ratios more, (however it was suggested to add gold generation on plant assisted kills to make up for her item dependance) Q width, normalized cast delay, and readability of zyra's Q>W. have her ults popup/stun duration scale with AP, adding ap ratio to passive, or giving her a passive that is useful outside of dying, etc

Are we going to start looking at fixing her up now?

I went against a Zyra support a few days ago... she did more damage then her ADC with only a item 3092 Rush. For Early and Mid game, Late game the death recap showed she still was the source of major damage, even tho the ADC would get (steal) the kills.

Im going to have to disagree...i just picked up zyra last week and i quickly added her to my list of playable champions. She can kite the crap out of bot lane and harass the nutz right off the enemy adc. so many ganks thwarted by well timed rampant growth + grasping root combo and i have no doubts about her in mid whatsoever.

I main Zyra, all i wish they would do is either give her higher movement speed for her mid lane play and maybe a newer passive. I play her mid and support, she is an AMAZING support, but she is supposed to be a midlaner and they kind of took a little too much from her to make her a mid laner. I mean they were so worried about her being too safe when in all actuality i find Azir a million times safer than her, and his poke hurts a hell of a ton more.

she´s already broken strong - if anything they should nerf the ult-radius, so she actually has to aim a little (and yea, i play her quite a lot).

I still use Zyra Mid and as Support. She does so much sustained damage still. I would rather leave her as is, because it's not worth it to have Riot touch another champion. I am strongly opposed to their new methods of removing strength to give strength. It is one of the worst design philosophies they have ever had. In theory it's great, but in practice you're playing a gimped champion until you reach a benchmark they set.

As is she's not terrible, she's relatively balanced. (I think she's perfect).

I remember when they nerfed her alot by lowering her damage, then she got played support, then the speed and width of her root got nerfed, and they said she was in an OK spot as a support. Her E --> W-Q-W-R-Q could seriously wipe the floor with anything, so her problem is two fold; If she does more damage, she's going to be used as an OP support. If she has more utility, she's back at being able to counter those mobile mages in mid, and we just can't have that. :P However, I think that because she's so much less glass-cannon than before, and has no sustain, we could probably look at making her a little tankier?

Her spikes need a major buff. I feel like the only reason to take a point in them is to get spitter plants. I've tried maxing her (I think it's her Q) spikes and playing her like Support Brand - that was a no-go. It's basically such little damage that she can't frighten them.

She fine, every good Zyra knowns she still a good tier 1 pick. It's a situational pick when your team is lacking magic damage. Together with FiddlesticksKarma their the best supports to carry. She's a high risk high rewarded champion. Taking a lot of risk to place the perfect ult.

What currently makes her struggle is the meta. But that I wouldn't really count as a problem. Even if the meta is not in her favor she's still tier 1. Not to mention that the meta slowly brings it back into her favor. She will become god tier if they shift the meta like this.

Zyra has a pretty limited build options. You go full mpen or you go the glass cannon route. I honnestly prefer the mpen route that exist out item 3092item 2045item 3020item 3151item 3116item 3135. Now with the item 3060 changes the glass cannon route might be a option. Also the upcoming spellvamp support item might give her more build options.
