Galio's W (Bulwark) does not apply Windspeaker's Blessing mastery

As seen in the title, I tried out Galio with and without Windspeaker's Blessing mastery in a custom game and saw no difference. The mastery should have increased resistances by 15% (level 1 Bulwark => 30 Armor and MR * 0.15 = 4.5 bonus Armor and MR), but Ashe bot had 51 Armor and 60 MR both with and without the mastery.

The only reason I take any issue with this is because Bulwark's description says that "Galio shields an ally Champion, increasing their Armor and Magic Resistance...".

Were this mastery to apply, rank 5 Bulwark (90 Armor and MR) would grant a bonus 13.5 Armor and MR, and would (in my opinion) make Galio support a great option against a Corki lane, or even for any game with 2 or 3 magic damage-focused champions on the enemy team.

It's not a shield so putting it on a champ won't get the increased defenses, but the heal you get when you're damaged should activate the mastery

That's questionable too, the ingame description of WS says it doesn't work on selfheal at all.

Oh that's true, for some reason I thought Galio's W heals whoever the target was but just Galio gets healed. WS shouldn't work in any case with Galio's W then.

Just to clarifiy: are you saying that the ingame description is the right one?

I'm asking becasue the mastery page description states WS would increase his self heal.

Bulwark Description: Galio shields a friendly champion for 4 seconds, increasing their Armor and Magic Resistance by 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90. Each time the unit suffers damage, Galio is healed for 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 (+30% of ability power) (-20% healing for each consecutive hit).

Yes I can read, it says "Galio shields" but it's not a shield in the same sense that all other shields in this game work

It's not actually a shield. It's a stat buff and a conditional heal.

Actually, try triggering the heal and see if that does anything.

self heals don't proc the bonus resist anyway, so it doesn't matter.

I'm glad someone else noticed this! I actually sent a ticket to riot about this, and they have said that it is a shield and that it should apply, but they don't know when they will fix it.
