Why's yasuo going top all the time

Season 7 I saw a single Yasuo top, I've seen 10 in the past 3 days. Like why is it so popular now?

Also is yas untargetable during his ult? and why can his tornado crit

Yasuo's targettable with damage while ulting. I just dont think he can be CC'd to stop the ults CC. But I've definitely seen yasuos blown up while ulting.

he can get cc'd during ult but the damage will still go off and if the cc last after his ult he gets cc'd then for the remaining duration

Ya I meant like he cannot be CC'd out of ult, like a warwick or malz suppression. If he's stunned, whoever he ulted will still be in his ult.

He is a fighter first, and an assassin second. Back in season 3-5 it was the norm to see Yasuo at top lane.

All critical strikes on his Q have a -25% damage penalty as opposed to his auto attacks' -10% penalty.

It's the Huni effect. People saw a Yas top in Worlds Finals, bound to be copied more. He has always been untargetable smile ulting. Because Riot is punishing you for not sidestepping.

has little to nothing to do with Huni, it's been like this for a while.

Mages harass yasuo to death and push him under tower, Most meta top laners don't and can get stomped by yasuo. Yasuo mains simply realized he's easier to play top. Been like this for years now.

I do find him to be better in Mid than Top but it takes more dodging/using your e properly and knowing when to all in.

I've never understood why the Tornado can crit, Can Janna's Crit? no it can't. also Janna is a WIND MAGE yasuo is a SWORDSMAN so why does Yasuo's deal more damage? i understand it's gameplay and Janna's a support but using wind is Janna's THING, yas seems to just be using it as a bonus.

Oh and Galio technically creates a tornado with his Q and it doesn't crit

as a final note yas's dosen't scale off ap like janna & galio's tornados.

well of course he is, it's just that he's spent his time training for both wind manipulation and swordsmanship while Janna supposedly spends her entire time on wind magic although we don't really know how much each of them trains, Janna (from what i can remember from her lore) still trains to use it better and better while the best yasuo can do is kill a few folks occasionally and try and stop his skill from dulling.
