Renekton's W with Panth Passive

So Renekton's W states that: ACTIVE: Renekton's next basic attack gains 50 bonus range and strikes his target twice. If it strikes twice and Pantheon's shield can only block 1 auto, that why does it do no damage. It should at least do 50% of it.

Because Panth's block blocks some on hit effects and Renekton doesn't need another advantage over him.
