Mordekaiser is your permaban due to him being impossible to both gank and kill Garen on the other hand, is easier to beat especially early on. The easiest way to beat him is by outdamagin him early on. This can be done 2 ways.
I do not know what picks you play but if you need help on how to beat Garen just mention the champion you playEdit: switched Poppy with Maokai Another edit: I picked Irelia up there because she can potentialy beat Garen if she plays it correctly. Her w can block a full Garen combo and with the right timing she can extremely punish him with a counter engage while Garen is on cooldowns, once she of course reaches full stack on passive. I remember some good Irelias managing to kill me in lane as Garen (mostly pre E conqueror Garen) and this is why I added her up there.
Mordekaiser has several counters/play arounds that make him easier to deal with. Garen is easier to deal with when you have medium/long range hard cc, ways to heal a lot since Garen is burst damage, or true damage.
Ways to Deal with Mordekaiser: 
, Champions that do well into him (may lose out at level 1, but scales better than him assuming not feeding him) 
All you have to do is pay attention to when he has his ult up or not, if you do you can abuse him by ganking him at the right times.
Pick them up and try them. While you may not be a big fan of them, trying a champ is the best way to learn to fight them. I agree with everyone that their numbers currently are too high, but they aren't unmanageable.
After you had a bit of practice with them, pick your favourite champions again and try to exploit the weaknesses of these 2 when facing them. Think from both yours and opponent's perspective in the match-up.
Another easier/cheating method would be to counterpick them. That however isn't possible all the time, unless you pick their counters even when you pick before your opponent's top.
Garen is very strong late game but weak early but Mordekaiser in the other hand is very strong and should be nerfed honestly..
Darius beats both. Never lose to those chumps with my boy big D.
Depends on what champs you're playing also.

You can also bait people into playing specific champs based on your pick. Pre-buff Nasus, i baited opponents into playing him by firstpicking Yorick. I then proceeded to NEVER. SUMMON. A GHOUL. Q'd him every time he tried to farm, eventually shoved him out of lane or killed him. Went to base, bought executioners calling, summoned as many ghouls as I wanted.
My point is, look at the champions you do play, and see if there's another way to skin these cats, er, bruisers. Morde is my 3rd ban (
), but your GP should kick his ass with proper building and preparing your W for cancelling his R, and perhaps utilizing a 
to cut his W healing.
If you can run a Tankplank abusing 
then turning it into 
for bonus heals on your W, and maybe buying 
as well while relying on 
for your damage, you should be able to survive and annoy him pretty well in mid/late game. Pick up some other items like 
to bolster your HP and damage from for the later game.
Kled should also be viable under some of those item selections, but you really want to make sure you get the grievous wounds procs. A deaths dance and spectres cowl will probably be your saving grace once you have executioners calling.
As for , that's an arms race for your other champs. Don't undervalue 
and 
items into him, reducing his attack speed will reduce his spin speed on E and his overall DPS against you on top of the armor you gain.

Bork is killer into tanks and bruisers. Players that know to utilize this and it's AP counterpart 
are the ones that shut down and win against 10/0 Darius/Morde/Garen/Mundo/other tanky bruiser abusers.

Try killing mundo with spirit visage, warmog, thornmail and ocean drake soul. Even ignite and grevious wounds from items like mortal reminder can't help.
He can kill them both late game, and can counter them in teamfights. However, he's so gated early that you most likely won't reach that point.
Any champions with blinks and insane mobility (
) shut him down pretty hard. Even if uses their ultimate on them, he will simply have too hard of a time trying to hit his abilities and getting stacks for his passive/conqueror. I've also considered 
to be a strong counter to him, mostly because of the fact that his E negates basically all of his damage and his early game is much stronger.
On a side note, you shouldn't be getting hit by his E. The ability has such a slow cast time that any champion not slowed can easily walk out of it.
garen is generally annoying. morde too.
here are a couple of great counters:
theres a ton of ways to deal with him
shyvana, yi, trundle are my best 3 picks out of those. Shyvana has sustained aoe damage like him although it is a little gated by cooldowns while his lasts indefinitely. But her % hp damage onhit after applying e, q damage and aa reset and cooldown reduction with each auto, ult stats, free mr from drakes, etc, works very well into him. Yi also, can alpha strike all his key abilities and with a wits end ruin him and keep outscaling him. Trundle is obvious, better sustain, better sustained dps, much stronger 1v1 ult.
I just take into Garen. I don't even need Ignite when he has it. Force him to fight you. It might take a few engages but he's not going to win unless he is constantly sitting back not taking damage and missing farm to use his passive and even then you're going to win when you back with a gross item advantage which snowballs from there.
Darius beats both (in lane at least). Mordekaiser has a pretty meh laning phase. Just MAKE SURE NOBODY ELSE COMES TOP because that is how Mordekaiser gets a free win off you. So tired of my team coming top and then suddenly Mordekaiser is fed and I can't do anything. The problem isn't so much about laning against Mordekaiser, its always "can your team not feed Mordekaiser?". Please ping if Mordekaiser is roaming because he's probably trying to find your jungler to kill, that is my strat with Mordekaiser when I'm behind. As OP as Mordekaiser is, he has high cooldowns in lane and two of his abilities are skillshots. His shield just makes him so forgiving to play so don't worry about not killing him, make sure he wastes that W and go in. Just be careful because his passive and his auto also hurts a lot so even if he misses everything, he can possibly still win. Use your minions to your advantage. After lane, he becomes a problem. Its not really your fault, its just Mordekaiser is really good right now. Although, if you just want to destroy him in lane, go Viktor. He is just so good against Mordekaiser. Viktor isn't really that hard to play for a three level difficulty champion, but idk, I mained him for mid years ago (with Heimerdinger and Ziggs) so I'm just used to his playstyle. Tbh, picking Darius into Mordekaiser is a hard skill matchup but it can work if you play it smart. Darius against Garen is more of a skill matchup, but Darius has the upper-hand as long as you don't let Garen run away. And he will, so just don't waste your E. Garen can stick on you so don't really depend on your Q. You win in extended trades with Garen. Don't make his passive activate. Garen isn't really that great in lane either. He just feels weaker than the other juggernauts, but he does get tanky later with his W. He becomes a problem if your team lets him splitpush. Look at his item build and build what is necessary.

If you're good enough to block his q every time you can beat him with fiora pretty easily imo. He'll still roll you if you get behind tho.
I mean, Mordekaiser is just flat out broken and needs nerfs. He has few bad match-ups and can 1v2 really well. He's due for some pretty serious nerfs soon, I don't know what has taken so long.
