Yuumi remind me of Abathur from HOTS and it is very special to me

For the ones who don't know, Abathur is a champion in the game Heroes of the storm where he can "host" any of the other 4 playrs in his team and assist them with his spell. He can do it from anywhere in the map and also could create a copy of them.

Abathur was a very unique character, even for HOTS standing, and I always felt this kind of character couldn't translate in lol but I am SO SO glad that Yuumi take this kind of mechanic where you are attached to a player and boost them, or you can jump from them and be your own entity.

It allow for a lot of versatility and also skill expression, nothing feel better than properly switching between teammate during a teamfight to give them that crucial heal/shield/haste/slow that will create a good opportunity for them.

There will be a lot of potential issue with this champion if their number are too high but I am very definitely excited.

I feel like she will be an issue in lol.

Abathur only has the attachment as a part of his value, while much of his actuall strength comes from the mappreasure that his passively spawning minons offer, and most of all he always is physically present and needs to be somewhat close to the front(aka not fully in base) to make ideal use of his passive and traps, so you could scout and assasinate him. Yuumi however sounds like she will be untouchable till all possible hosts are dead and offers nothing but the attatchment value, which will be very hard to balance imo, if she's strong she can turn the currently strongest early into a 1(2)man army with hardly any counterplay for her oponents, if not i don't see a specific reason to pick her over any other support.

My only disappointment with this is that while I adore Yuumi, I had really hoped this kit design would show up on a Shadow Isles specter support, instead of a magical cat. I feel like that thematic would have run a little better.

The last time i played Abathur in HoTS was in like 2015 or something. Man i miss that game...

But to be honest, due to Yuumi's W where she can attach herself on an ally, it reminds me of Cho'Gall. Assuming if she can stay perma attached on her ally or if it has a duration.

Anyway, the champion doesn't seem overloaded. She most likely won't be another problem like Thresh.

Difference is, Abathur in hots doesnt need to attach himself to others, he does it from far away, but is INSANELY vulnerable if he'd be found. He can't defend himself and certainly cant make himself untargetable.

Yuumi is what Abathur would be if Abathur was poorly designed. I dont care how weak she is once her "host" is eliminated, the fact that she can make herself untargetable while spamming shit is simply bullshit.
