Master Yi with Guinsoos Rageblade and Wits end in 8.9?

Hello League of Legends Community! I'm an average player who doesn't quite understand every concept and detail of all the items and aspects of this game, which I do enjoy playing on the daily. I quote from the patch notes, at least the aptch notes from 8.9 on EUW "BUGFIX: Fixed a bug where Rageblade interacted with other bonus attack damage-granting effects to grant more attack damage than intended (lookin' at you, Jhin, but also Infernal Drake and Master Yi, etc.)." The only thing I know about Jhin is that he got actual attack speed instead of sticking to his base. As for Infernal, it buffs the ad and ap for the rageblade stacks, yes? I don't exactly understand how this applies to Master Yi and his on-hit builds (wits end and rageblade core). I've been looking at some clips and It seems to do good damage because of the synergy between the magic dmg on wits end and the intense right clicking on guinsoos rageblade._ TL;DR: How does this bugfix apply to Rageblade and WIts End for MasterYi ? (Plz go into detail, I am a noob ;-;)_ Thank you in advance :D

Master Yi's Wuju Style (E) passively increases his total AD by 10%. The extra 10% counts as Bonus AD.

Rageblade increases all bonus AD by 4% per stack (24% at max) so this includes the 10% from Yi's E.

But his E increases total AD which includes the Rageblade bonus. So it creates a loop of AD increases.

Every frame the game calculates what each bonus should be, so the bonus slightly increases each frame by a diminishing amount. For example:

Assume Yi has 200 bonus AD before Wuju Style or Rageblade buff and assume Rageblade is at full stacks. Frame 1:

  • Wuju Style calculates its bonus which is 200 x 0.1 = 20 AD. His AD is now 220.
  • Rageblade calculates its bonus which is 220 x 0.24 = 52.8. His AD is now 272.8.

Frame 2:

  • Wuju Style recalculates its bonus. The old bonus is 20 so it uses his current AD (272.8) - the bonus (20) to calculate, so 252.8 x 0.1 = 25.28 = new Wuju Style value. So his total AD is now 252.8 + 25.28 = 278.08
  • Rageblade recalculates its bonus. Old bonus was 52.8 so 278.08 - 52.8 = 225.28 is the new value to calculate from. 225.28 x 0.24 = 54.0672 (new bonus). Total AD is now 225.28 + 54.0672 = 279.3472

And this keeps happening every time the game ticks and values are updated. This does not increase to infinity. By nature the increase each frame is smaller every time so eventually (after a few seconds real time) the bonus per frame is less than 1 and you don't see it reflected on your stats anymore. So with this recursive scaling there is a certain value that it approaches and never passes, but this value is higher than what is intended by the balance team.

edit: Actually I fucked that up because Wuju Style scales off total AD so the numbers should be higher. For the sake of simplicity let's pretend both buffs are scaling off the same thing (bonus AD) because it's just to demonstrate how recursive scaling works in this game.

Your language is like watching a drunk try to maneuver on an ice rink without skates.

I don't know the exact formula, but I'm guessing the algebra looped somewhere, so Yi and Jhin were getting a double boost from the Rageblade's effect (Double Fourth Shot crit for Jhin, double-quadruple slash for Yi and everything that came with it).
