So I just went up against Shaco, the tips say to plant control wards near his camps, me and the team do that. We use our vision to our advantage, but it doesn't help when he can just q over a wall for a free assassination. Send help
practically any champ with invisibility, practically the thing you gotta do is dodge every time you see a stealth champ or play a 5man stack and try to ban every champion with invisibility. since they nerfed pink ward to the ground and made it show silhouttes unless you have a skillshot cc you might as well stand still and die
It depends on your role. Top laners just beat Shaco straight up, so nothing to say there. Junglers can take the initiative - Shaco is good at sneaking up on you but doesn't deal well with being invaded. As mid laner, pick someone with an escape, like an assassin. If you're a mage, don't push up without vision of Shaco (you may have to give up some CS). As sup, be a CC heavy tank. As ADC, stay with your CC heavy tank support.
For Shaco, good champions to use are
I suppose the reason the site listed Rek'Sai is because she cans till "sense" Shaco even if he is in stealth. Hence, she makes a good counter jungler. As for Lee Sin, he is generally good for playing against stealth champions as he has abilities that reveal them.
General Counter Tips:
Always keep an eye out for a puff of smoke in the fog of war - this means Shaco is nearby. If Shaco uses his Deceive to enter fights, he won't be able to use it again for a while. Try turning and focusing him if possible. Counterjungling Shaco's red buff or blue buff can greatly limit his early gank potential. It's good to ward your jungle (especially early game) as he can steal your buff and get away. Vision wards are effective at knowing where Shaco is during ganks. Shaco can be a frustrating champion to kill due to the quick and easy escapes with Deceive, bringing him down with a disable or a fast burst will make him a much easier prey.
