Karthus Tips
Hey, I'm a mid lane mage main, mainly playing aurelion Sol but wanted to expand my champ base and wanted to know some karthus tips from any mains out there

Against immobile champions, you want to be aggressive. Spam Q under them, try and get as many crits as you can. You can pretty easily force an immobile champion out if lane, after landing a few good Qs. With mobile champions, someone like Yasuo or Katarina, you want to focus on farming, getting level two asap. Then, you have a choice. Almost always, you should go with your E, as you need that mana back. However, in some lanes with really high early game kill pressure, you'll want to put a point into your W, so if you do get tower dived, you can throw up your W and have the tower kill'em. Summoner spells, I prefer to use Barrier and Flash. Barrier is really good at most stages of the game and helps you out with dealing with champs like Zed or Katarina. Runes are kinda up in the air now, but Comet seems pretty fun to use.
Just sit back and farm with q until you get some items, if you can harass for free do so, but do your best to avoid early all ins. Also look to execute other lanes with your ult
Remember: Your Q only crits if you hit a single entity (champion, minion or monster)
I love Karthus. Your focus is combining with jungle and farming, he isn't the best 1v1 lane champ. Also your W is strong for roams to gank other lanes yourself. Do not get Abyssal Mask. Avoid most all lane matchups with assassins, then help team and outscale everyone. Your best trade in lane, if it is there, is get your wall behind someone and nail Q's as they retreat (easier said than done).
