I can understand control wards as they are purchaseable but why can we only put down up to three wards if we have a sightstone or trackers jungle item?
Legitimately want to know because I assume there is a good reason for it

It was a pointless change, though, since they gave everyone free trinkets (and gave supports Sightstone?) at the same time.

Sightstone existed long before the ward cap and trinkets, but Riot didn't have the guts to eliminate it at the same time they were reworking the rest of vision. I still think they should. It was an improvement over spamming the old green wards, but compared to trinkets it's now the worst part of the vision system and is holding the support role back.
Let supports support with their kits, not by spending 800 of the gold they already have less of on an item with terrible stats so that they can take on more than their share of what should be a teamwide responsibility.
Live2LetDie1 votesOnly one poster replied correctly. Riot was tired of having only supports put out wards. Vision is crucial and this makes it so others have to help. S3 supports we're just ward bots.
PimpStickNasus1 votesOk I get it now. Though it still is annoying as when I jungle I feel like I'm the only person placing control wards or any wards at all and I sometimes wish I could just place that one more ward. (Trackers blade is my jungle item of choice usually)
