Riot are you still working on flash so it's not a must for a summoner's spell?

I remember back when everyone was crying that flash is a must for a summoner's spell. I still cry evrutym.

Sure, I despise Flash, and I don't tend to use it myself, but I have no problem with everyone else taking Flash.

Yeah but your missing out if your not using flash. That thing is more OP than Riven.

Since when? Last I checked, she was feast or famine like Akali.

I've really never felt like I was missing out without Flash, unless I was playing a champ that desperately needed the repositioning power, like Galio or Fiddlesticks.

When summoner 11 summoner 12 was used top lane all the bronzes/silvers whined about the OPness and how flash was unnecessary.

How about if they made it so you can only flash to an area you have vision? No flashing blindly over walls. Would people still take it as much?

Because it hasn't already been crippled enough by having a minute added to its cooldown, the range halved, and the projectile disjoint removed.

It has been nerfed over and over for several seasons. Removing the ability to actually use it as an escape is a bad idea.

lol if u made champions that dont need a flash have a flash then that would be broken the reasn people run ignite tele or ignite smite would make them so fucking strong lol please i hope there is never a free flash in league

Flash is absolutely perfect the way it is. It's not OP, but it's not UP either. It's quite honestly one of the only things in the game that is truly balanced, alongside Vel'Koz and Zed. But that's pretty much it.

What we should be doing if you want Flash picked less is to buff or combine other summoner spells. Combine Heal and Ghost, and you'll see adcarries using that along with Cleanse instead of Flash.

It's in the other summoner spells. Not Flash itself.

Balanced would mean that it wasn't used in 99% of all games. It is currently the STRONGEST summoner spell. So either its over powered or all other summoners are under powered in comparison.

I agree, most people base champ balance on Pick/Ban rate, why can't the same rule be applied on summoner's spells?

I will just say that this is a bad way to combine them. I would just use Heal/Ghost with flash and not cleanse. Also it would buff mid lanes who take a combination of flash + summoner 6 or summoner 7 .

Unless the game undergoes a MASSIVE rebalance, Flash isn't going anywhere. It's the only thing keeping immobile champions from being completely devastated by mobility champions (and even sometimes that fails, especially with overloaded mobility champions like Lee Sin or Ekko.)

It's too ingrained into the game at this point, and buffing everything else won't help either: Unless another spell can offer a instant gap closer/escape, Flash will almost always be taken. Nerfing it is just a further buff to every mobility champion (which don't need any more buffs.)

I totally agree that it would require massive rebalance at this point since Flash has been the must pick summoner's spell for almost all the champions available, even the ones with built in blink/dash they still go for Flash.

But I believe they should still look into it, because at this point that spell should just be chilling on the permanent summoner ability like Recall, so they could be homies together.

I don't use flash but I have no issue with other players using it. What I don't enjoy is players who whine if not every single champ in the group has it and then kicking them if they don't get it.
