What is up with the DQ hate?

So I have been seeing alot of complains about Dynamic Q lately. I've only done one post before in my 3 years of league, but the amount of hate going about this is so ridiculous and downright stupid that i have to post about this. So please try to help me understand this.

  1. People say everyone you get on the team is a "troll". Yeah, that happens alot in Blind Pick Q too. IRRELEVANT
  2. People say that queue times take too long. Somewhat Relevant but still a stupid reason. Teambuild took even longer.
  3. Teambuilder was so much better. Yes, only being able to choose one role is so much better than having an alternative. IRRELEVANT

To be honest, all this hate on Dynamic Q is ridiculous, and is so much better than Team Builder. If you have an alternative type of Queue idea, place it in the response, but for the time being, I think the community is made up of spoiled babies that want everything centered around them.

Those aren't even the main reason why people hate soloq.

The main reason why people hate soloq is the fact you can Q up as 4 or 5. That ruins the competitiveness of ranked because now that premade team have communication advantage over the solo team. You can now get your friends to boost you out of w/e league you were in. It under mind the skills needed to get to higher ranked so those gold+ rank is meaningless. Those people that got there solo can feel good about themselves but the community won't believe them when they say they got there solo.

Not to mention getting grouped(no matter how rare) with premade 4 is one of the worst experiences in league.

People hate the four man quad queues that can ruin the game. There wasn't anything wrong with the queue before, and there were ranked teams which were fun, so why change it?

People are just taking the old "elo hell" blame and now sticking it on "premades and dq" its not that dq is really bad (it should be/ will be better if riot does what it has promised to do with it), they just want to blame something...and so its premades and dq. its the "oh we had a four man premade so we lost" and they conveniently forgot about the 2 other games they won with a four man premade.

Team builder was trash cause you could be kicked for your pick. Also, cause no bans = fotm op bullshit every match. New Champ Select, awesome, dynamic queue, not as awesome.

OP is confusing the changes in ranked with the changes in champion select for draft.

Point 1: Yeah I think you're right.

Point 2: Teambuilder did have long queue times, particularly at off-hours. However, it existed ALONGSIDE the other queues. If you wanted shorter queue times, you had an alternative.

Point 3: Being able to choose your role is better than the system choosing for you. If you want, instead of offering meaningful counter-argument and explanation, I can just write IRRELEVANT after stuff you say. Up to you.

Overall, you ignore the fact that dynamic queue did not just replace teambuilder, but teambuilder and draft pick in both normals and ranked. This is a further problem in ranked because it erodes competitive integrity, which is important to some players. Furthermore, as others have pointed out, you don't differentiate between the new champion select process and "dynamic queue."

I'm not going to pretend that there isn't anything good about dynamic queue. I think what frustrates the majority of people the most, myself included, is that, unlike teambuilder (which you seem to want to compare to dynamic queue a lot), we were not offered a choice to use it. It is our only choice now. Teambuilder did some things fantastically well (I can play exactly the champ I want to) and other things poorly (long queue times, varying levels of champion competence, blind matchups), but you could choose when those strengths were a suitable tradeoff for those weaknesses (e.g. I want to practice a champion and I have something else to do while I wait for queue to pop).

TL;DR your ridiculous simplification of the issue and calling people who disagree "haters" is the other side of the "downright stupid" coin that you're complaining about. There are good reasons to like and not like DQ; making it the only choice for us sucked.

You know, it says a lot that team builder being around had none of these complaints. Some people said support queue timers were bad, and usually those weeks a lot of support champs were not free. But, the amazing thing? People actually enjoyed queuing in with their guaranteed role and champion.

Dynamic Queue is a joke, and so is solo queue blind pick. If I do not wish to do ranked, give me team builder so I can play with friends and have fun as opposed to go in DQ, wait 25 minutes, and have some idiot dodge after all the bans and picks to restart the timer all over again.
