Why are people trashing the support role now?

I think people saying the support is not rewarding have ether not played it before or have never played it well. Supports have almost them selves won me games before. A Thresh player can carry the game to the very end with great peel and awareness. I was playing Morg support and we won the game just because I was hitting my binds. If you only care about your KDA then go play a game that does not require teamwork and stop trashing a role that people like to play and are very good at

Yeah pretty much.

Everyone bashes supports but if you want to give them a trip.....

Velkoz Support will generally deal the most damage in a game...period, out of both teams he is heavily under played.

If you look at my Velkoz match history you will see that I generally double my carries damage during a game.

If you get butt hurt about people hating on you when you support, then just DGAF and play an AP mage for support, you will get your damage in and at low ELO when your carriers have problems carrying the weight of their own clothes, you can really change a game. Then people will complain about you not being a tanky support, and at the end of the game you can be like..

""GG EZ, support most dmg on team, what scrubs" [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

It's so sad seeing people not even play support champions anymore, it's like seeing ADCs take over the jungle almost completely.

Don't forget to include the fact that supports received a couple of nerfs in the pre-season patch. That was one of the major complaints i've received from support players.

IMO, support has never been a trash role. It is just one of the more under-appreciated roles. Supports can easily carry games if they're landing all their skillshots, peeling when its necessary, and roaming around the map to make plays.

Don't blame the role or champion. If a support player misses his/her skillshots and doesn't do anything meaningful to help win the game, it is the player's fault for misplaying the role.

"Now"?

It has been that way since I started playing in mid season 1.

people pick support and main it AT FIRST, because its easier for them, and they dont have to worry about CS or KDA. warding is a much simpler job for them to do.

and then the role grows on them and they actually start to like it, they feel important and their job matters (which it absolutely does).

like if you put an adc into the sup role, they can do somewhat of an ok or passable job. peel/dive together. but if you put a support into ADC, you will notice a CS difference and harassment difference

What supports? All I see are these FQB Sona's building APC and taking kills.

Your part of the problem

I am? because I watch my adc go 0/3/14? Did support and ADC switch roles? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong here.

Beyond that, actual supports aren't that rare, and are some of my favorites thankfully. I just don't think FQC should be an item. Having nearly 10 CS at 30 minutes only to spike to 90 because of their wave clear and ending up with as much gold as the mid is pretty ridiculous.

Simply put, I'm not trashing supports, I'm trashing the "supports."
