Yeah I've been having interesting matches, I'm diamond 4 and I've been matched with an unranked (he was 2-0 in placements), and a gold 5 so far.
i played a game because i thought it was preseason, i got a bronze V tp ignite mundo that fed 10 kills in a row and had 3 cs per minute, while mid was katarina that didn't knew about the rework and started puking spaghetti all over herself, still 3 cs per minute, at least it was hilarious.
They had to do a hard reset for Flex Queue from my understanding, so literally everyone is starting at the same rank there and... well... you've seen the outcome of that. It should work out later on, but the beginning is going to be a bit painful.
It's always rough at the start of the season or pre-season, so I'd just not hop right into it myself. There is gonna be an off balance there for a little while.
