HOW TO MAKE TANKS MORE BALANCED!

OK, im sure many of you have come to the consensus thats its pretty BS that a character can build no damage items, be hard to kill, and even soloing your fighters, assassins, and adcs just a couple champs off the top of my head for example, amumu, malphite, naut, and mao all deal a significant amount of damage and are nearly impossible to kill in a team fight (yes that is their purpose to soak damage but not to deal it). and something that i've noticed that nearly every meta tank has is percent health scaling in their abilities, now let me tell you why this is not ok and this is why tanks are broken. When a character has a significant amount of defensive stats and deals more damage based off of being more defensive, it is inherently busted because not only are they harder to kill but they also deal more damage the harder they are to kill. Which logically makes no sense and in fact provides unhealthy and almost annoying play styles making tank teams feel nearly impossible to win against unless you play the teamfight way way WAY better than the tank team. To conclude tanks should not deal damage, yes a little but not as much as they do now. How to fix it? Remove percent health damage from tanks weather it be enemies percent health or their own health.

True tanks don't have HP shred except Zac. The problem is the class of bruiser. You can build minimal damage and escalate to tank status by building all defenses. Bruisers should have to build more than just a Cleaver or something of that sort to do the damage they can do if that makes sense. Tanks in general or if you pull up the tank tab don't really have HP shred. Their shred also isn't usually really spamy either.

They'd be alot less tanks then, Lee would become an assassin and other tanks like volibear would become trash tier without huge compensation buffs.

Amumu does't deal damage if he doesn't build in my experience. Malphites ult damage is busted, but it's balanced around him doing nothing without it, I cant say i wouldnt like him to be different but hes not op. Nautilus takes a long time to kill people himself. I havent played Mao and I've only laned against him a few times so I won't say anything about him. With the new mastery changes it may be appropiate to nerf tank's damages. I know you dont want them to do damage but cc isnt exclusive to tanks so they have to do some damage or they are pointless to pick.

Also a tank should be able to solo an adc if they get onto one well, tanks are MELEE. Why play a melee champ if you lose in MELEE range!
