Visual Updates?

Just as a general question, there's still a lot of champions that seem out dated compared to the rest. I know riot often has a lot of things in the works without much announcements, but I was wondering who exactly is in line for visual and splash art updates? Aside from the obvious upcoming visual Updates that will be tied with a gameplay update, what about champions who work fine gameplay wise but are still visually outdated in their skins and such? I wanted to know if there's a definite list that could say what to expect in the future for updates.

From what we know so far, Riot is only going to be doing VGUs rather then VUs. So even if champions have fine kits they won't be looking at them for a Visual change right now unfortunately as they said it's more with their resources to put in the gameplay and visual changes at the same time.

Splash arts though, Karma is one that will be receiving new splashes any time now as she was next on the list for those who had already received visual/gameplay changes.

Sivir is also on the list for new splashes.

As for their policy on VUs, I think they need to fix the half ass champs they tinkered with, but left incomplete. I speak of Alistar, Sona, Shen, Miss Fortune, and others who Riot has done exterior work on, but left in the shitty rigging, the lack of animations, and their ancient voice overs. Additionally, for champs in this list like Alistar, Sona, and Shen, they've had their kits completely overhauled, so by their logic, these champions are not candidates for any more work, which is bad since they feel incomplete in terms of being up to modern standards.

Well people that are on the list is one thing but coming up very soon is another. As Karma has been the only one they've revealed will be done very soon now that WW's out of the way.

Overall Riot decided to only do visual updates together with gameplay updates. The reason is that pretty much every champ who needs a visual update could also use a gameplay update, even if it would be just a minor one.

Riot has 2 VGU-teams who are constantly working on VGUs. One team did Poppy Yorick and is now working on Galio who is confirmed to be released before the next champion(so I'd say febuary is quite likely for him) The other team did Taric Ryze and Warwick(whose update will be released next week) and some sources say that their next project is Urgot

Other champs who are on the VGU-list are: Akali Amumu Chogath Corki DrMundo Evelynn Fiddlesticks Irelia Mordekaiser Nocturne Nunu Pantheon Rammus Shaco Swain Teemo Tryndamere Volibear And Kayle will get a dual update together with Morgana, though it was said that Morgana is mostly fine in terms of gameplay,so she'll likely receive not that many changes to her kit.

Actually they have 3, the third one does the Class updates that we have seen at least twice a year.

And Kayle will get a dual update together with Morgana ,though it was said that Morgana is mostly fine in terms of gameplay,so she'll likely receive not that many changes to her kit.

I remember they said recently that Morg would probably just have changes to her E, even though I'd say she could use some work on her passive.

They have 3 teams,but the third isn't a VGU-team since they don't do visual&gameplay updates,but only gameplay updates;)

No, they do some visual as seen in the mage update with Malz, plus they added in VFX for the champions that are updated. So they do lite visual work.

Well those were only texture updates to the classic skin(and no other skins) for malz and Zyra and it was seemingly a one-time thing as they didn't do any for the assassin update, which is why I didn't count them.

I mean you are technically right, but its not like they give big updates to all skins or something like that.
