I demand an explanation for animation cancelling

I'm past requesting, and moving on to demanding, as aggressive as that may sound. Why does it exist? By nature, champions that can utilize will have a huge leg up on those that can't. Biggest offender? This cancerous whore. In a game full of seemingly arbitrary skills to master, why is animation cancelling even a thing? I fully do not understand, and I have never heard a satisfactory explanation. For that matter, I've barely even heard AN explanation.

It makes her harder, if they remove that from her they have to give her compensation buffs. That "whore" is just slightly viable because of it, deleting this keymechanic that makes her HARDER would be a really stupid idea. Do you really WANT to make it easier to play her? No you wont because you obviously ALREADY have a problem with one of the worst champions in the game. Next time try thinking about your own threads before making them.

rivens animation cancelling is the one thing that separates a good one from a bad one. stop crying and try to do it urself. in a teamfight a good riven can carry, whilst a bad riven will be absolutely useless.

There are other champion who can animation cancel, mostly using flash, so you do the ability faster and prevent the counterplay...

Lot's of champions can animation cancel. For one, literally any champion with an auto attack reset uses it literally every time they use that auto reset right after they hit an auto, it's literally the same mechanic. The only reason riven gets more milage out of it then most is because her passive is an auto attack modifier, and her animations are unusually long if you don't cancel one spell into another. She's that way by design, she's supposed to mimic a fighting game character. God I feel like I have to explain this basic shit everytime someone loses to a riven and make a forum post about it.
