Should an ADC split push top lane by herself? Even though adcs are squishy.

Thank you for your answers because I had an iron 1 adc tell me it was alright to do so but she was playing jnix so I was worried. Now I know. I'm B1/2 so I dont see that much

They CAN if they want to but they’ll be ground into pie crust the moment they’re in a 1v2 that has hard CC and gap-closers.

mid game it can be fine but late game NO

It really depends on the adc

Ashe? No Kalista? No

Vayne? Maybe Ezreal? Sure Lucian? Yep

Late game is what I mean and a Jnix. I jg main and if I saw her doing that its free kill, right? at least for me it is

ADC's who can defend themselves can.

Kaisa - Maybe.

Vayne Lucian Ezreal - They can.

Ashe Draven Jinx Jhin MissFortune Sivir Twitch Varus Tristana KogMaw Kalista Caitlyn - No.

Vayne shouldn't really split push without her ultimate and Condemn off cooldown.

Caitlyn is a Siege marksman, she's better at grouping with her team and taking towers / other objectives.

If I'm a jungler or mid lane assassin and I see Ashe Draven Jinx Jhin MissFortune Sivir Twitch Varus Tristana KogMaw Kalista Caitlyn in a side lane on their own, I know 100% they're a free kill.

I think it depends on the game state...but as a general rule, probably not a good idea to lone split.

There are exceptions to every rule though.

  • if you're stupidly fed as a hypercarry (Jinx, Vayne, KogMaw, etc...) you can probably win a 1v1, and sending more than one for you means your team has more pressure elsewhere...that they're HOPEFULLY using...
  • If the entire enemy team is showing/fighting your team, and you're gonna get there stupid late to the fight, may as well take something else instead. Feelsbadman, but it happens. Nobody likes to wait, and just facechecks without you. I get it...all the time...
  • If you're Corki and have your passive. Nobody's gonna catch you when you jump 1500 units away from them and leave a trail of fire that burns like a Rumble Ultimate, especially when your normal W is still up and you can jump an extra 750 after that. Just go for it, what's the worst that can happen?
  • and some other very niche situations that don't usually occur, like having baron + elder with 3 mountain drakes (you get the most pressure spreading your dps across all their structures, and with all those buffs, nobody's gonna want that smoke from an adc.)

In most cases though, you're gonna get popped by the first sweaty-ass champion that breathes in your general vicinity.

Rengar agrees.
