Demacian Justice from Twist of Fate Idea

When Garen uses Demacian Justice on Kat in the Twist of Fate cinematic, he hits the ground and a huge sword lands causing Kat to fall down a pit.

Make Garen's ult an AOE skill that targets the ground instead of a single target. Enemies inside the radius get pulled inward to the center, similar to Orianna's ult and Diana's E.

The damage is based on how close enemies are to the center, that way Garen won't be a useless turd during team fights and have to wait for an enemy champion to drop to low HP. He'll be much more effective right when the team fights start, which tanks should be. (people will also stop complaining about KS)

Cast Range of 400 like it is right now. AOE radius of 500. Yes, it's 100 more than Orianna's ult, but her's has a huge range advantage and also does strong damage no matter how far enemies are from the center. While Ori' ult is quite fast and can be hard to react to, Garen's will be much more easier to react to and avoid.

For damage scaling, I was thinking of like 25%/32%/40% Max HP, and again dealing damage based on their distance from the center of the AOE. That may sound overpowered at level 3, but since it's now a (kind of) skill shot, getting that 40% isn't guaranteed, especially when it comes to multiple enemies. People will most likely spread when seeing a Garen charging in, making his ultimate doing full damage quite tricky. +It'll still be magic damage.

Intriguing idea. I like it. I'm glad to see Riot making small steps to readdressing Garen. If the Passive changes work out, hopefully Riot will turn their attention toward the rest of his kit.

I don't understand why people think Garen is useless in team fights. He's a great damage soak and with his silence and ult can peel against assassins fairly easily.

As for your idea I do like it, but I think it should stay as a targeted ability. It's supposed to be used to take out key targets instead of a general aoe damage team fight ability. That's what his spin is for.
