A solution to the 1 v 2 lane swap that is killing top lane diversity in the LCS

The reason why you only see maokai, rumble, and gnar being spammed over and over again is because they're the few champs that don't get completely shut down by a 1 v 2. They can afford to miss a little bit of CS and won't get completely zoned out.

A farm reliant champ like nasus or tryndamere is never picked because they can't handle a 1 v 2.

Solution? Make doran's shield melee only and give it a special active for the first 10 minutes. If an enemy champion with the "marksman" tag is in between the top lane towers, they will instantly die. And this also prevents people from completely rendering a melee champion useless by picking an ADC like quinn or vayne top lane.

How about no. That ruins ANY diversity in toplane by an arbitary amount; after all, Teemo is considered a Marksman, and so is Urgot. That's like seeing Darius murder Nasus and want an item that makes Darius instantly dies if he gets in range of a melee champion.

This is possibly the stupidest idea ever.....lane swaps themselves create diversity, allow them to happen. And no such "instantly die" ability is in the game for a reason.......it is the most broken and stupid and overpowered idea to be thought up.

uh its a bit easier. Dorans shield takes -6 damage from melee attacks but -15 damage from ranged attacks, and is melee only.
