Match Making Teams

Hello everyone,

In the last few days I've gone on a 7 game win streak to gold 4, followed by an 9 or so game loss streak. This has actually happened a lot (large streaks of wins/loss's) in the last couple months. It feels like I'm not able to climb, even when I win lane or get my team advantages. I'm wondering what the reasoning is behind keeping players at a 50% win rate is. I feels like the losses are deliberate with teammates that are on loss streaks or going against players that are much higher ranked.

Overall, this is a very tilting way to have ranked played out. But I'm wondering, what are the advantages to having the ranked system work like this? Also, what is wrong with the alternative of having you match up against players that are just similar rank randomly? And, will we ever see changes on how matchmaking teammates are found?
