Losing more LP than gaining

I do not understand how I am gaining less LP as I go on longer win streaks. Furthermore, why when that streak ends because someone was actually running it down because he didn't like our autofilled jungle I lose more LP than I have gained the past 3 wins (individually)? My win-rate is about 56%, so why am I getting heavier losses? Yes I am more bitter because it was a free win taken from me, but I truly do not understand the LP gains and losses. Thanks

White knights will tell you that "The MMR system thinks you're this level and that you're losing too much or winning too much blah blah blah" but really it's just Riot artificially keeping you down so they can keep you playing and keep all the shiny shop skins and accessories in front of you for maximum exposure longer and exploit your addiction. Bonus points if you rage, justifiably so, at actual trolls and afks they stick you with, they can now just ban you and reap the benefit of you starting a new account and paying to get all your champs and skins back again! :)

There. I shattered the Matrix for you.

It means your rank is higher than expected for your MMR. It generally occurs after going on a win streak (and at a 57% win rate, you've basically been on a permanent win streak). The reason it happens is the rate at which MMR decreases from losses and increases from wins is slightly lower than the rates for LP.

Ultimately, there's nothing you can do about it. Just keep playing and don't let it affect your performance.

The general tell for if you get slanted LP is to look at match average and rank. Op.GG shows this, if your usually below or have been below your rank it slants. If your playing above it slants for gains. The LP system is more about providing a feeling of progression and hiding negative trends from players to keep them hooked.

However comments like " The MMR system thinks you're this level and that you're losing too much or winning too much blah blah blah but really it's just Riot artificially keeping you down so they can keep you playing " Are stupid as reactive systems like MMR just adjust to new data points and are very easy to automate. "Locking" some ones rank breaks their functionality. As the expected replay value in an ever shifting meta and time to climb to top of a skill ladder is... well.. never ending the idea of adding extra grind is a stupid argument.
