Jax's Design feels Outdated and Unhealthy

Just the design of "if I survive until late game you will lose" feels very unfair to play against. All 3 of your lanes can get fed and you can dominate early to mid, but Jax will still just endlessly splitpush and take down your nexus before you can even recall. Fighting a Jax also feels very one sided, he just sticks to a target and that poor target really can't do anything. In a fight, no matter the numbers on either side, Jax will get one kill.

I think this is just the result of being a very old champion. Maybe for a good nerf they could lower how well he pushes towers making him actually have to fight every now and then, but I think he needs a complete gameplay rework.

He's certainly not the WORST champion, but he needs work. He is way too splitpush reliant, and way too good at his one job. He can easily take a tower before you can recall and get to the tower he is mashing.

That's it man, I hate to be that guy but I see why you hate jax so damn much, half your games you are like 4/10 and your last match you clearly got destroyed by one. You didn't even win your lane, just because a Jax is doing well doesn't mean you can ask for a rework.

And I'm reading through the game deaths you just got caught none stop by him towards mid game, and he also got a double. From there it was smooth sailing for their team.

I decided to actually make this post due to that last game but its not like I played one game against a Jax and assumed he was OP because I lost. I've played many games with Jax.

So you saying right now, If you played a Jax you pretty much won a game?

Because we all know Jax is the ONLY champion that can splitpush, He already has a nerf going on, he using a lamp post. Imagine if he had a real weapon.

Hrd2H1t2 votes

Any champion can splitpush, but I feel like Jax is the strongest. Splitpushing itself is not a very healthy game mechanic, so a champion that is the best at it will be not very healthy.

Yea but that's the only thing he is good at he is shit in teamfights

That's OPs point

He can still work in teamfights. If he gets his items, he can stick to and kill the enemy ADC with ease.

Tryndamere Nasus Rengar MasterYi Just because you FEEL like Jax is the strongest doesnt mean he is. That's like back in the day when someone said Ekko was the best tank on the planet, and I turned that around and played Tank Akali and solo a whole team. (with video footage).

Tryndamere Only splitpushes because he can't teamfight at all. Jax can stick to and kill the enemy ADC easily, while Tryndamere just dies once his ult wears off. Nasus Can be very annoying, but you can easily shut him down early and keep him form ramping up in power like Jax. Rengar I've rarely seen Rengar slitpush, Rengar usually just assassinates anyone that walks around the map solo. MasterYi Master Yi is pretty good at taking towers, but he's pretty bad at actual fights if you send one champion that has cc.

Lol?

Yi isn't even good right now and he can still tower dive most enemy champions more easily than Jax can and kill them if he has enough of his build finished.

jax is not in the meta right now and you are a mage main which is the best class

Hrd2H1t1 votes
  1. Splitpushing is never "meta" but that doesn't mean it never works. It just never works in professional games where everyone has excellent coordination, unlike my teammates who all spam GG after someone gives up first blood due to a 2 man gank.

  2. Just because mages are "the best class" you can still counter them. Mages and Marksmen are countered by sticky melee champions Tanks and Divers are countered by being focused in fights Juggernauts are countered by kiting Assassins and Skirmishers are countered by hard cc Supports are countered by being focused first in teamfights.

  3. Just because a champion isn't "meta" doesn't mean it can't do well. If only meta champions could do anything, most champions would have winrates bellow 45%.

His kit just feels kind of outdated. His E is his only interesting ability, everything else is really bland.

I'm not saying they should give him twenty passives on every ability, but I think he should get a few minor gameplay changes.

A smart Jax waits until a teamfight breaks out to start splitpushing. In the middle of a teamfight I can't recall, and even if I took teleport I can still be cc'd. Besides, you can usually only kill Jax in a 2v1. I play a lot of mages like Vel'Koz, Orianna, and Ryze, so I can't really do much unless someone else decides to help me kill Jax. All of my friends either aren't even good enough for Bronze IV or are never one, so I have to rely on randoms that never want to go take down the Jax.

You're right, it's both of those things. But fortunately, he's not broken. If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Heres a solution, kite Jax. Hes melee, dont let him get close to you. If he Qs & Es you, then blame yourself for not being by your team

mastery 7 jax player here. He's pretty shitty unless you let him hit his powerspikes. You wildly exaggerate his strengths. You think hypercarries are unfair to play against? suck it up. He's one of the most bully-able champs in the game. if you come out of lane phase against him and don't have 30 farm up on him, you're bad. The fighting jax part is also inaccurate. Maybe if 4 squishy melee champs rush in and try to attack him with his e up, he'll get one of you. But if you don't play like garbage, 3+ people on him should take him down without casualties unless he's 10+/0. He's a good duelist. Hurray. That's his strength.

As someone who used to play a lot of Jax, I think he's actually in a really bad spot now. For practically any situation that I'd consider picking Jax in, Trynd is just a much better option with a stronger early and late game.

He takes way too long to scale in, if you fall behind early game you're probably going to be useless. Realistically the best bet to winning with Jax is snowballing your lane and pushing your advantage but that's pretty difficult considering Jax's early game is terrible.

IMO they need to make Jax less reliant on AS. He gets kited super easily and it's hard AF to stack up his passive ever since the nerf.
