Just wondering, are chat macros considered cheating?

I want to use a chat macro but I don't want to get banned. Are chat macros against the rules?

Users have been suspended/banned for using programs like MKLOL (MKJogo) which advised jungle timers in chat and stuff like that. Chat macros giving any kind of automatic information (Champ ult is down, etc) would be against the rules and your account would be at risk of getting banned.

so for example if i made a macro that said "MOVE BITCH GET OUT THE WAY" when I press r (i play a lot of sion) i wouldn't get in trouble?

You might get in trouble if it spammed it for Spam but likely not for Third Party program use.

Dont believe so...the only macros that would be concidered cheating by Riot is if It affects gameplay..like R+Q+E+W in .001 sec press 1 key type of macro.. But as far as chat macros I dont think so..
