idea for RoA/Catalyst

Would making item 3027 's timer start when you purchase item 3010 (similar to item 3154 's stacks starting once you purchase item 3106) be a good idea? Changing when the timer starts would allow for partial builds on champions that typically need to rush item 3027 and item 3003. Typically, item 3027 is a first buy for champions that need it because the passive won't stack fully if you wait too long to finish it. Would this change help or would it break certain champions like Ryze ? please explain why you think it would or would not be a good idea

For the initial Catalyst this would not be a great idea. RoA is already a very strong item on some champions, there is no need for a power spike when the item is finished. That said I could see something like this being put in for any Catalyst bought when a RoA is already in the inventory.

This would significantly reduce the window where champions like Ryze and Kassadin could be shut down. Given the monstrous late games these champion have, I think that cutting down the period where they're most weak by 1600 gold would be a pretty bad idea.

i was kind of worried about certain champions that build it becoming op as a result of the possible change. would there be any way to have a change like it without making certain champions broken?

The whole reason certain champions buy it is because of the double scaling. Ryze, Singed, and Vlad being the big three each scale with two of the three stats that RoA gives. Without changing the champions the only way to make RoA faster is to also make it weaker.

That makes sense. And simply removing the scaling, increasing the price, and giving it the 10 minutes later stats would defeat the purpose of Rod of AGES. So no change is necessary i guess
