Can you resolve any issues Rito?

Why is it that in playing ranked when someone has a friend in platinum and they decide to play as a duo, They seem to always be placed in the low elo? I thought i read a few patches ago that they were gonna fix matchmaking. Is this not a huge unfair advantage in a ranked game? Pardon my outrage and complaining. But I'd rather play a fair game and lose due to me being terrible than to play someone who is so much more advanced that they can literally 1v5 my entire team.
